We already sent *** [redacted] a refund on May for with the understanding that she would not leave any negative comments on line and she didI strongly still believe that we did NOT scratch the floor the wood holder was feet away from the fireplace and we had no reason to move itMy service man that was there has been with me for a long time and has no reason to lie as she claims and if she scratched my floor there is no way I would settle on $I consider this matter closed it unfortunate I have to be marked with a complaint when the costumer is at the wrong on this one

The BBBs decision to make the process combersome and archaic will result (has resulted) in people utilizing other forms of consumer support. Please mark this complaint resolved with complete satisfaction. RER [redacted] ***Bethesda, MD ***Phone: Comm-###-###-#### [redacted] FAX ###-###-####

My mother recently passed away and as her Personal Representative it was my responsibility to sell her homeThe inspection revealed the need for a new chimney boxMy husband called one company who came out and quoted a price of $for panelsThe tech showed us his catalog of products and "his price"His price was $per panel which meant about a 50% mark up - including laborThat was reasonable to usUnfortunately he never showed up to do the work or returned several of our callsMy Realtor recommended High's Chimney serviceThey came out and quoted a price of $- $per panel that cost them $63! When we told the tech we knew what they cost, he called his boss and they lowered the price to $per panelHe actually told my husband that if we lived in Annapolis they would have charged $This is an outrageous example of price gougingNot to mention, they actually missed the appointment they made with us to do the workWe had to call and rescheduleThe only reason we went with them is because we were on a time crunch with settlement of the property just a few days away

MrP***,
I have reviewed your request request to have the above captioned matter deemed unreportable through your Revdex.com, and must deny your request at this time. While I can appreciate your frustration with this consumer and our publishing policies, we simply do not have the documentation or justification to close this as a non-reportable complaint
*** ***'s complaint meets Revdex.com Complaint Acceptance Policy, specifically it alleges a problem experienced with the services that High's Chimney Services provided. The complaint has been closed as assumed resolved, in the businesses favor, and will remain so at this timeYour claim that you were at her home when the complaint was filed does not match your response dated the day after the complaint was filed, stating that she would need to call your office to "set something up" for you to go out yourself
I can certainly understand your hesitancy to want to dispute a consumer publicly, Revdex.com notified all its members, and anyone receiving or submitting a complaint that we now publish complaints under qualified privilege by the Communications Decency ActPlease remember that the benefit to our process over some other "gripe sites" is that we allow the business to respond to the complaint online so visitors see both sides of the story. Further, providing literal content of complaints received about a business and its verbatim responses adds transparency and openness to our process
Please feel free to contact me with any further questions or concerns
Thank you,

I scheduled a cleaning for our chimney The man who came used a camera in the chimney as a scare tactic to try to get us to buy a chimney liner and refused to clean the chimney unless we got the linerMy husband asked him to leave and never call us again I never heard of someone refusing to do what they were hired to do

We already redid the crown yesterday the same day she filed the complaint Very unfair

I would like a supervisor from High's Chimney's to confirm that the work was completed this time the correct way
