Highgate Retirement Village

Review: I stayed at Highgate (now named Cascades Assisted Living Facility) in Grass Valley, CA in Oct.2014 for 3 full days and 2 half days in Respite Care. We were charged $180 a day and I was not bathed or sponged bathed in the time I was there. Also they did not provide me the food I needed according to my dietary needs so I could not eat many of the meals they brought me even though my husband and my husband made clear what those were several times. I tried to talk to the director there [redacted] about this and the person in the financial dept there but they both said they were not there at the time, did not know went on and would not refund us any of the money. Very little assistance was given to me as far as help with medication everyday or assistance in providing the bathing I needed and the food I needed. I lost 6 pds while there. I am pretty dissapointed in my stay there even though most of the staff were very nice and kind to me and the room as clean, bright and the bed although small comfortable.Desired Settlement: I feel some or part the money should be refunded to us due to the fact of the above mentioned!
