Highland Express

This is a convenience/gas station/car wash at Highland & Summer. Signage included a large sign, [redacted] Food Mart, and all gasoline pumps are labeled [redacted] No other outside business name displayed. Receipts I received show Highland Express, [redacted] XXXXX. No phone number.I participated in a Jan-Mar discover card promotion, 5% cash back for the 3 month period at ALL [redacted]/Chevron stations. Made 2 purchases at this business, but did not receive the bonus on my statement. Discover was gracious enough to credit it to me manually. Next I visited the Chevron/[redacted] website. Their location search feature does NOT show this location as a [redacted] station. I sent them the same information I am including in this complaint.I feel the owner/operator of this business is guilty of false advertising, ie giving the appearance of being a [redacted] station when apparently they are not.Desired SettlementThat the owner/operator cover/remove/replace all outdoor signage that gives the appearance that this is a[redacted] station.Business Response [redacted] is currently undergoing changes and the credit card machine was not working on the day that the consumer purchased gasoline from the station. The consumer did right in contacting [redacted] Headquarters, which whom rendered him a discover credit card. Also the consumer was notified before using his [redacted] Credit card that it was not functioning properly and would have to be swiped on another credit card machine. I have been working with [redacted] Corporation to correct this error. Again, I apologize and hope you continue to do business with my gasoline station.Owner,*. AFAIK, this has (or had) been a [redacted] station for several years. If it no longer is, do you not have the ability to force them to remove the [redacted] signage - otherwise it would seem this is false advertising. Your assistance and reply would be appreciated.
