We were contacted by this gentleman who is a real estate broker and he was initially stating he needed a vehicle towedIn
actuality, he was trying to clean abandoned property off a piece of real estateState Law requires proper notification of the local law enforcement agency, in addition to this, the vehicle is typically towed at the vehicle owners expenseThese vehicles had been sitting for some time and weren't in the condition described by Mr***Mr*** had no intention of paying us for our time and labor, he was wanting us to clean up his property and charging the vehicle owners, who had abandoned this property, and apparently had no concern with the condition or whereabouts of the vehicleWe advised Mr*** to contact another company and that we weren't interested in the job

After first contact with Affordable towing and a detailed conversation regarding the removal process and vehicle condition, I scheduled a time with the Greene County Sheriffs department to run the VIN and red tag the vehicle as requested by Affordable TowingI then met the Sheriff at the propertyThe Sheriff determined that the vehicle could be salvaged and tagged it for removalIt is simply untrue that I am to gain anything financially from the vehicle ownerIn fact the vehicle owner of record is dead and has no surviving relativesAdditionally, during numerous conversations Affordable Towing stated that they would remove it for the salvage value and not charge me for removalIn their words "yes we want it and and will move itDon't worry about a thing." Although we had agreed on several different times to meet at the property to remove the vehicle no one from the company ever showed up to even look at the vehicleIn fact, this is my complaint against the company...After preparing the vehicle for removal then scheduling separate times to meet a representative from Affordable Towing at the vehicle location no one showed up! If they did not want the vehicle in the first place they should have said so and respectfully declined rather than waste a lot of time, money, and resourcesIn regards to Affordable Towing stating that the "vehicles were not in the condition described by"...there is only one vehicle in question and they never looked at itThe property is gated with no access unless I allowed accessThey advised no alternative and simply hung up on me when I asked them if/when they were going to come get the vehicle after they stood me up for the 3rd and final time

It was only 150.00 for wreck and clean up and 55 to take to the body shop the next day. the reason we didn't leave it there Monday it was closed by the time a driver could get it to the body shop.

that is a fabrication they did not try to take it that day. when I got off of work I went by the body shop and when they told me my truck was not there I called [redacted] and they could not locate my truck at first several minuets on the phone and then they told me that I needed to have called in that day to let them know where the truck was suppose go and I told him that they all ready knew where it was going because that was worked out the day they picked up the truck they said [redacted] auto body in republic I said yes it was suppose to be here already they said while it was to late tonight but that it would be towed over there first thing in the morning that still does not explain the over 700.00 bill that was paid by the body shop. if I wouldn't have talked to the body shop to let them know that the truck was coming over Monday and that the tow bill would be 150.00 they would have never said or did anything about it because once I told [redacted] that my insurance was going to reimburse for the tow that's why the bill jumped up to over 700.00 the though that they could get away with it. do not let them do this to any one else please put a mark on there record that lets other consumers beware I also had talked to a couple of other places that told me that they had similar problems with [redacted] over charging them so this has been going on for awhile
