Review: I purchased a 2003 [redacted] Truck on 02/20/13 from Highland Motor Sales. I paid off the truck on 5/16/13. Then, on that same day, 5/16/13, I purchased another [redacted] Truck from Highland Motor Sales for $16,190.50 and paid a down payment of $2000.00, with the remainder of $14,190.50 to be paid within 60 - 90 days. I paid the remainder of the second truck on 7/19/13 via a check with the memo reading "remaining balance of 03 [redacted]", which was cleared on 7/22/13. After some time, I contacted Highland Motor Sales inquiring where my title was. The owner, Matt R[redacted], requested that I email copies of all my receipts for both trucks, a copy of the cleared check for the second truck and a copy of the title for the first truck, which I did on 1/30/13. He replied to email thanking me and said it was a big help in straightening it out in their computer. After some more time had passed, I spoke with him again. At that time, he implied that he had no intention of giving me the title, so I assumed that he had the title and just wasn't giving it to me. However, after speaking to PennDot today, 9/23/14, Highland Motor Sales has not released the lien on the truck so the title has not been printed yet. I have had a friendly relationship with the owner for years, but I feel it is unlawful to hold my vehicle title when it has been paid in full and I have had no other option, other than to file a complaint.Desired Settlement: I would like the lien on my truck to be removed, since it has been paid in full, so I can receive my title.
