Thank you for your letter of Friday April 22, regarding bedbugs in your apartmentWe understand that this is a difficult and uncomfortable situation for you
We have investigated the situation, and found that we have had no reports for
bedbugs in that unit as far as goes which is when I started with the company up until recently as you stated in your complaintEvery single vacant unit is sprayed as well as inspected by pest control prior to any showings yet alone move-insWe would take full responsibility if this happened within thirty days of your move-in, however you have been in our community for over nine months and as you've stated this has been going on for about one month
Upon your moon July 1, did explain to yourself and *** *** that although we provided pest control for all of our tenants free of charge, bedbugs were not includedI went over the "BEDBUG ADDENDUM' with both of you and explained to you that if bedbugs were to be found in your unit you would be financially responsible for the fees/cost of bedbugs removal to which you both agreed and we all signed the addendum
We did schedule pest control to spray your apartment on April 8, and you did give us permission to enterHowever, the pest control tech, *** called and said he tried entering the unit and found your three month old baby unattended to which I did call you and told you there had to be an adult with the baby and you mentioned your boyfriend was there asleep, I followed by explaining to you that *** and I refused to spray your unit while your baby was not only in the apartment but was also unattended
When you came in on Monday April 18, with your plastic container with "bedbugs" I did not make a comment because I am not certified nor qualified to state that in fact they were bedbugs or notdid have all units surrounding your apartment inspected for bedbugs and none of them have them except for your unitWhen you spoke with my supervisor she also mentioned that you have been in your apartment for almost a year
I went ahead and scheduled pest control for bedbugs for Wednesday April 27, from 10:00am-11:00am as well as sending you a 48hr notice to enter the unit and take care of the issueWith that notice l attached a bedbug prep list as well as a letter stating that you are financially responsible for those charges

The management here is a joke the "manager" *** is childish she can't talk to her tenants like an adult she just posts notes to our doors without even knocking to let us know she is leaving a note, she put the wrong time on the notice she left saying they would be at my apartment between and and the exterminator came at while my month old son was sleeping so no I did not let them enter because they weren't here when they said they would be and I also called her at am hours before they came and let her know I already bombed my apartment and didn't need her to comeShe never answers or returns my phone calls when I leave messages or try to call the officeShe tried to accuse me of leaving my son alone at home, and if she would have done her job instead of being lazy and sending someone else she would have seen there was someone in the other room

My name is *** *** and I am the property manager at Highland Oaks Apartments where our tenant *** *** submitted a complaintI faxed over a response letter yesterday as well as some paperwork to back up my statementsWe had the bedbug inspection and treatment scheduled for today (4/27/2016) but *** refused to let the tech in after we served her with a 48hr notice to enterI explained to her that I would follow up with a mandatory 48hr notice to enter and she proceeded to insult meWe are doing our part by making sure the issue is resolved but we need her to let us do our job as well
