On September 2019, I had a employee come to my house for an estimate on a gutter. I took the offer and gave him a check and it was cashed on 9/16/2019. I did get a call maybe in November telling me they had to train someone and would take care of us then. I called with the manager *** on 12/17/2019 and he told me I would get a refund, apologized and said we would receive it in 30 days. As of 2/26/2020, I spoke with *** again and he said it would be here in 10 business days. Today is May 5, 2020 and I don't have my gutters done and no return of my money. I do have the paperwork for court and told them that today for I called the headquarters in Raleigh to give them one more chance to refund our money for work not done. We would all think they wouldn't want their name on the negative list but I see I'm not the only having this problem. 24 years in business and they rip people off. I have see two additional issues here on Revdex.com. If you don't want issues with a roofing/gutter company, I would suggest you don't call Highland Residential and Commercial roofing and gutters. Shame, shame that someone doesn't care about money for their company.

About 5 or 6 six years ago I had this company put up some gutters and they did a great job. So in October we wanted some more gutters installed so I called them and they came right out give me a price and I paid them a deposit of 487.50 and they were going to have them installed within two weeks. Three weeks went by no gutters, so I call they said they would have some one call be back that didn't happen. Around Thanksgiving I called again, left message no one called me back. So after Christmas I called again about a week later someone did call me back and said they would be here on Thursday, well no one showed up. Have seen anyone can't get anyone to call me back. I have called several times in Feb and just ask them to please credit my credit card nothing yet. I called again on 2-11 and talked to the lady that answers the phone, she said she would pass the message on. But she only a answering service and had no way of calling anyone. So no one call and I called back on 2-12 and they act like I've never called. All I want is my money. I live on SS and had saved up for the gutters. Can you please help me with this. If they just give me my money back I will just go away and not bother them anymore.

Her project will be performed by the end of February. We have a standing contract and apologize for delays. Holidays eat up alot of time, as well as weather this time of year. We will give her a 5% discount once done. Thanks

As of Feb 13th, I have no luck in being able to have contact with Mr. *** I have called 3 times today and they were going to have him call me right back. Which I knew he wasn't. I DO NOT want any service from him. I know he said he would have it done by the end of February, I have heard that before, the problem is he will not call you back and the lady that answers the phone say's she will give him the message. I do believe he with her at the time. We went over to his office today and gates were locked, no one in sight. When we were in his driveway I called again and the lady said he was not available that she would have him call me, which I knew he wasn't. If he had been behind because of holidays or whatever he could have been nice enough to call and ask me if I could wait a few weeks, not tell me he would be here on Thursday. Thursday has never come. I only got him to call me twice and both times he lie to me. So if he would come I couldn't trust his work. In checking out this company I think a lot of people has had the same story. All I want is a refund ASAP because I do have a company that do them right away. Looking at his sigh outside I see he owns several companies and one being Handy Helpers which I knew they have a bad name but didn't know that Greenville Seamless Gutters was own by the same person. This job was to be done mid November no calls telling me any different. I have called many times. The first of Jan was the last time I spoke with Mr *** and he was going to be here on Thursday, no gutters no phone call, no nothing. Please help me get my money

I have continue to call this company every day and each time am told he will call me back as of Thursday 30th I have not heard from him. The lady that answer the phone says he's busy and will call me, I knew that wants going to happen.
They are still advertising in the paper every day Hope no one is calling him, I think if you say you are a new customer looking for gutter he will call you

We have already provided a date of work to be completed and this customer is refusing to accept our services that we have contracted to do. We have experienced delays from normal circumstances such as: Holidays, weather delays, and labor delays. We have a right to complete the work. We have already spoken with this customer regarding the work several times to which she has constantly called us and requested again and again.

They have NOT contacted me at all. They did call the first of Jan and said they would be here on Thursday never showed up or need called. I have called them daily and just ask for a refund on my deposit. I told each time they someone would call me back. No one calls, I called them today same story. I had a proposal not a contract. If they were intending to do the job would they have not called me? They only have an answer phone service. Who ever answer the phone always tells the same story Someone will call be back. If they had gotten behind because of the holidays they could have called and told me that I wasn't forgotten. When he called in Jan saying he would be here on Thursday I told him at that time if he wasn't here then I just wanted a refund. I have been by the business and it's all locked up, no one is around. I have had gutters put up already. As I told the man the day he came out to give me a price that I needed them ASAP, because the same day he was here I was having new duck work put under the house because it had gotten damaged due to the water running under the house. He told me that I would have the gutters in two weeks. Only that 1 call from them in Jan NOTHING since then. If he's an honest business man why want he give me a refund.

I continue to call this company each day. Same story every day someone will call me but that never happens. I'm not sure they have a business I always get the answer service. I don't understand a man calls himself in business and won't call you

I did get a call from [the business] this morning and *** told me that he would refund my money sometime next week. I do hope he stand behind his word this time. He felt that it was unfair that he had to refund the money because I broke the contract. I didn't break the contract he did by not showing up/b>

After *** calling me last week and saying the money would be back in my account on Friday, well Friday he called and said he wasn't going to refund it, He was just going to wait until the bank charged it back which would be after April 1st. I told him to just ok his bank and have it reversed and that would end it. But NO he's not going to do this. I will say the last 2 times he's called he was nicer.

At present, with their lack of professionalism, I do not feel comfortable with them working on my house; I want nothing other than a refund of my initial down payment

We dried in the roof at this home many weeks ago to help prevent leaks, and eventually ended up agreeing to replace ***'s roof after weeks of communication. We received a down payment with the agreement. After a few weeks when we were ready to start, *** said she was unable to pay the second installment as required, due to insurance not releasing the funds. We then contacted and worked with her insurance company to FULLY fund her new roof. A week later she contacted us again and said she could not continue. We politely explained to her that we have a right to complete the project, as we have invested time and money into it, and that it was too late to back out of the contract. This morning, *** contacted us and paid the second installment on her new roof. We requested that she remove her complaint and asked what was done to cause a problem. She had no response for us and said she wanted to get the job completed. We will continue forward and wish to deliver a high quality service as agreed upon.

The work that was done on my roof was done and paid for separate this current issue. I was threatened to be taken to court and as I explained to *** on the phone Friday, with a witness..im only following through t this point because I cannot deal with this stress. As I infinformed him I just want my start date and most recent invoice, which I have yet to receive.

Once again, these people are avoiding responding to my requests for my final invoice; it took them less than 30 seconds to take their payment out of my account, its been two days and I can not receive my invoice; I think its because I had several issues with them throughout this process, indicated my concerns with their work and declined further services they offered; they are fully aware I have borrowed money to pay their upfront payments and can not receive my reimbursement without the certificate of completion; will you assist me in finalizing my business with them; thanks

After Florence we spent $1900 for them to cover our roof and then went into a contract 11/4 to install a metal roof. It is not completed now!
Worked with ***, signed contract and paid down payment of $19,240 for a metal roof. on 2/20/19 we sent more follow up emails of when was to start. They were waiting on metal.
It has been half done for the last 3 months, debris and equipment blocking our access to house since then. Panel colors not matching after many emails and contacts. They state waiting on 3 panels for last 6 weeks, no response to emails. We can not do other repair work until they clean up the site. We want job finished!

Desired Outcome

I want the site cleaned up and all material removed by June 1, metal roof finished by June 1 and will have it inspected by another company. If any further work needs to be done I want it completed within 10 days.

We have worked out an agreement with the ***. We are to have everything wrapped up by June 27th. Our supplier's metal roofing manufacturer has contributed to this delay through a series of events. We apologize for the delays and are making it right. Thanks

Estimate was way overpriced and when I called to discuss it, the owner, *** was very rude and inconsiderate. Would never hire him. In regard to the stars, he doesn't even deserve one star.

This person was insulting, very rude, and abusive from the start of the call. We were initially communicative and supplied her an expedited estimate as she requested. Our estimates are fair and include quality procedures. There is no need for me to listen to someone insult us. We forgive her and hopefully she will find satisfaction elsewhere.

This company employee came while I was away and never even got on my house or ask what kind of roof damage I had. I had minor roof damage and some minor siding damage that I needed done. The next morning I received a emailed estimate of $14,000. to $24,000. for a new roof I assume. I called and *** answered and my response was that I had received the estimate and I had some questions. He in response said that they were very busy and that I should appreciate the fact that they come out to my house. Before I could tell him that I didn't need a whole new roof and that I also needed my siding done, he said I was rude and disrespectful and hung up on me. I didn't even get a chance to be rude and disrespectful before he was. It is of my opinion that if he treats every potential customer this way he can't be to busy and furthermore I would never want him or his business in my yard.

I work for Highland Residential Roofing and made initial contact with the customer. They told me they were in need of a new roof, I went to the home and left a voicemail due to them not answering and measured the roof for replacement and submitted the quote. They called us and were rude over the phone. When we asked to get information from the customer to follow through on their questions they refused and said they did not want our business. We cannot help people who will refuse to collaborate with us in effort to diagnose a problem on their home. We are experts in our field but cannot be expected to understand what a customer wants without them providing important information such as the address of their property they are asking questions about and what type of services they are requesting.
