Highland View Apartments

This place is horribly managed. The manager treats the tenants like they are there to cater to him. I have been hung up on several times I have called the office. My apartment flooded when Shreveport flooded in March, I was blamed for the damage. The seal in my window is nonexistent. This has been reported to them repeatedly. I have wasps freely coming in and out of my apartment due to the seal. I have had roaches, mice and ants. All of which have been reported and I was blamed for them being here. They spray for pest every month but all the tenants still have the same pest issues. The cameras monitor everything. The manager looks at these cameras after hours, from his home. Any questionable activity, he will approach and ask about your whereabouts or the nature of the person you may have had with you at the time he was watching you. The water pressure and temperature lack consistency. Either the water is scalding hot or freezing cold. These have been reported to the office. Nothing was done. None of the amenities offered actually exist. The pool is never opened, the fitness center equipment doesn't work, the laundry rooms are usually out of order, the Wi-Fi is a nonexistent open network, and the secured gate is usually broken. There have been horrible reviews from former tenants on google and other reviewing sites, yet the corporate office acts as though they have never had a complaint against the manager. He is nice before you sign your lease and becomes a complete monster afterwards. No matter how polite you are to him, he is a [redacted]! I lived here a little over a year....which was way too long. During that year, I cant remember one encounter with him where he was actually polite and respectful. The view this place renders of the city doesn't compensate for the mice, roaches, ants, leaks, and constant disrespect from the manager. I am getting the heck out. All of the reviews of previous tenants warn potential tenants not to rent here. If anyone asks about this place, I will continue as the previous tenants did and warn all to stay away!
