This man is an absolute liar.  He came in with no insurance and paid the $120 self pay rate, which he paid with  a [redacted] card.  He then proceeded to call his bank and tell them that this was an invalid charge and had my account credited for $85, which went back to him.  I disputed...

the first calm which was decided in my favor, he then disputed it again, I last contacted the credit card company the end of August and still no discussion.  I believe what happened is he took his paperwork home to his Dad and Dad submitted the clam to his insurance so he thinks he should get money back.  I told him he could have handled this matter in a much nicer, easier way.  They could have called our office given us the insurance info and we could have filed the claim and refunded him anything necessary.  But as of now, he has paid us $45 for an urgent care center visit.  So when/if we do get the money put back in our account, I do not owe him any money back, as he came in as a self pay and never got back to us with any insurance info.  I have all of the signed paperwork to back this all us.  See what he has.Laura

I am rejecting this response because:1.  I had my insurance information with me and the office refused to accept it and instructed me to file a claim with the insurance company, which I did.2.  The insurance company processed the claim.  Doctors Express is a participating provider with my insurance company.3.  The insurance company issued an Explanation of Benefits stating Doctors Express was entitled to a total payment of $65 of which I was responsible for $35.  I paid $120 and therefore was due a refund of $85.4.  I contacted the billing office and they said they could not refund me because they did not have the EOB and to call back in 2 weeks.  I offered to fax them the EOB and they did not want it.5.  I contacted my credit card company and filed a dispute for $85.  I never accused the provider of fraud.6.  The credit card company issued a temporary credit of $85 to my account, which was credited back to the provider on 7/9/15.  Reversal of the credit was based on the charge not being fraudulent, which I never said it was.7.  I spoke to Laura, owner of the company and she said she would not provide the $85 refund until she received credit back from the credit card company.8.  The same day I faxed Laura the EOB from the insurance company showing the proper amounts and a copy of my credit card statement showing the $85 was reversed and credited back to her on 7/9/15.9.  I followed up twice and never received a call back from Laura or anyone else.I do not appreciate being called a liar when her staff caused this whole mess when they did not how to process my out-of-state insurance for which they are a network provider.  Laura has been both unprofessional and rude.  I was a college student at the time and cannot believe the arrogance that has been demonstrated in resolving such a trivial matter that her staff has inconveinenced ME with!I am attaching the documentation substantiating my claim for refund, which was sent to Laura as follows:1.  Proof of my payment in the amount of $120.2.  Explanation of Benefits from the insurance company showing the total allowed amount was $65 and my responsibility as being $35.  Therefore, a refund of $85 was due me.3.  My credit card statement showing a temporary credit of $85 for Doctors Express.4.  My credit card statement showing the reversal of the $85 temporary credit on 7/9/15.5.  Fax Transmission confirmationAs Laura stated, we spoke with August, which was long after she received a credit back and should have promptly refunded the $85.
