Highlands Regional Medical Center

I went to highlands regional for an emergency procedure. Of course they wanted insurance and payment up front. I paid them and had to return twice for complications each time I paid before entry. As it turned out I overpaid 140.00 which I told them they were over collecting. My maximum out of pocket on my insurance had been exceeded with just payments to them. Well after numerous calls to billing they finally found an overpayment of 140.00. They are in no hurry to refund they say they are sending information back to the hospital for review and if the hospital determines a refund is due they will refund the money. I called hospital administrators office and of course they were out to lunch to return in 90 minutes. This hospital billing dept demands money doesn't account for it and when they are finally caught over collecting they drag their feet. Worst experience I have ever had. Their medical professionalism is poor as well. The drs don't return calls had to go elsewhere to get medica.
