Highlands Tire & Service Center Reviews (2)

I am writing in response to a claim we received 11/13/17. The complaint number is [redacted]. [redacted] complained that he got 2 tires in October 2017 and he needed 2 more tires. I called [redacted] today and he said he came to our location in Chambersburg on two consecutive Saturdays to get the...

tires and the tires were not at the location. These tires were on back order and we could not get them. We found out that these tires have since been discontinued. When I called [redacted] I explained that this location was closed last week due to business reasons beyond our control. I was unaware that there was a problem, however when I saw this notice I wanted to follow up so we could possibly salvage this customer and make him happy (he also put a negative review on [redacted] as well that I responded to). He said he got tires somewhere else so he would not be buying them from us. I offered him a deal on new tires if he was interested and he said he does not need them anymore. I also offered to give him money off on services at our location in Newville Pa.Certainly we do not want unhappy customers and this should have been handled better at the Chambersburg location, this is part of the reason the location is no longer open. We strive to do everything we can to make our customers happy and hopefully this will not happen again. I am relaying this to our other branches to reinforce our commitment to customer service and the importance of this is to our organization. Please let me know if you have any concerns or questions regarding this matter.Regards,Steve F[redacted]V.P. Review: Highland's tire performed tire service on my motor home, failing to complete it properly. The valve stem, which is claimed to be replaced, in fact was torn half-way, and left in place, causing air leak. This resulted in a new tire to be flat as I drove home, causing premature wear and damage. The good thing it was one of the dual tires on the back, but it left my vehicle in a very unsafe condition for traveling. The service guy pumped the other tire to the max of 80 PSI, which is a sign that he knew his work was shoddy, and he was trying to rely on the remaining good tire to get me home.Desired Settlement: I request a refund for the tire service and a cost of replaced tire, which needs to be performed as a result of Highland's Tire failing to do the work correctly. Thank you.
