Questionable Billing Practices and no response to calls.
I went to a private practice that uses Highline Labs as their lab of choice. Shortly thereafter, I began receiving outrageous bills in as high as $400. My Dr.'s office advised me that this billing was in error and they would take care of it with the company. Ever since then, I have been getting bills periodically of increasing amounts even though I have not submitted any lab specimens and my Dr.'s office fired them based on their billing practices. And then I got a letter from a collections agency. I called Highline and got ahold of a lady (Jeanette) who said the issue was probably caused because they had not billed my insurance because my Dr.'s office had not provided it. The Dr.s office assured me they did and then I personally gave it to the lady again. She told me to ignore the collections notice and that it was not really a collection notice, it was just from a different department in thier company. (Hmmm, interesting) At that time the bill had magically went down to $75. She told me the issue would be resolved in 30 days. That was on March 10, 2020. Today is April 30, 2020 and I just received another bill with an increased amount of $96.88 and I haven't even been back go the Dr. S how is there an increase from $75. I just called my Dr.'s Ofc who said they believe this company had gone out of business because a package of equipment they mailed back to them when they fired them was returned by the post office saying such. I just called and could not get an answer on the phone. It just rang and rang and then let me leave a voicemail. Something is fishy with these people. And many other patients at my Dr.'s office are going through this same issue. I am happy to provide the contact info at my Dr.'s office and they can confirm the issues with this company. I live in Virginia and this company is located in North Carolina so we are at their mercy as far and contacting someone for resolution. I hope the Revdex.com can assist or at the very least make other people aware of these practices.

I am appalled. I went to a private practice that did not comply with insurance companies and did not allow me to submit out of network, so my red flags went up. I decided not to pursue lab testing from this doctor and instead sought another doctor. However despite not getting any testing done through them, I just received a bill in the mail for $4551.36 from Highline Labs, the lab of choice from the doctor. I had NO TESTS done from this place, and I certainly will not pay almost $5000 especially considering I didn't have any tests done. The date of service is the day I went to the doctors office where she ordered the labs. Her name is all over the document.
