Highline Line Pointe Apartments Reviews (%countItem)

The building is nice, but that’s all the positives I can say tbh. The manager, Adeline *** is a liar and a cheat. She “lost our lease” and has refused to renew it (again) because I left a negative review. The result is my wife and my 13 month old disabled child are forced to quickly move.
She and DelWest lack even the most basic ethical code. Complaints with the state and lawsuit are already in the works.
Do not move here until they fire Adeline.

High Line Pointe is a beautiful apartment building in south Denver. They have some fantastic amenities and for the most part, some great neighbors.
However, Adeline *** is the manager here and she is nothing short of atrocious. Since she has taken over, she has mismanaged this place and is quickly running it into the ground. In our situation, she incorrectly sided with our downstairs neighbor and this has led to her refusing to renew our lease (which was supposed to already be renewed.)
A little more detail:
We have a 13 month old special needs child. Leaving our apartment with her is very difficult because of all the equipment that we need to take with us. For that reason, we leased the apartment with the largest balcony they had and with a fantastic view. My wife is a gardener and since she does most of our daughter's care, she needed a space that was her own, for plants.
During the first year that we lived here, the neighbor above us allowed his dog to urinate on his balcony, which drained down all over our balcony, and the neighbor below us.
After this neighbor finally moved, my wife was finally able to start her garden and things. When a new neighbor moved in, we reached out to them. We told them them we have a garden and we need to water, but asked if there was a time of day that worked best for them. They initially were friendly and we made a point of making sure they knew, any problems, they could text us or call and we'd find a solution that worked for everyone. We even offered to buy covers for their lawn furniture if the watering was problematic. They insisted it was fine.
After a couple of months of no known issues, they reached out and asked if we would water in the morning, instead of at night, so they could watch sunsets on their balcony. We agreed to water in the morning and did just that. My wife was absolutely insistent that we only water at the specified time.
2 weeks later, we get a call from the office saying we have to put down mats of some sort to stop the water from leaking down. Admittedly, I was not happy about this. We had been working with the neighbors and they should have reached out to us first. But also, water on a balcony should be expected, to some extent. Water doesn't harm outdoor furniture, and if the amount isn't too much, it should dry relatively quickly. I told the office they need to leave us alone. We did, however, comply with the request. We put both plastic containers under the pots and plastic along the edge to help catch excess water. I did, however, post a review on google and fb discussing some of the problems we'd had with this building.
Apparently, according to Adeline, that's grounds to refuse to renew a lease. We've been asked to leave and it is incredibly disheartening. With all the issues we have going on with our child, COVID19 and other issues, this move is more than just an inconvenience. At his point, the stress of the situation has caused my wife to have a breakdown and she's now hospitalized.
The callousness of the young and inexperienced Adeline ***, along with complicity of Delwest in the situation, lead me to believe High Line Pointe could be a great place to live, if it was properly managed. It's sad, because we really love our apartment and don't want to move. We do want management to work on solutions to issues and if they are unwilling to do that it makes this a bad place to lease, especially given the cost.
