We already sent [redacted]. [redacted] a refund on May 5 2014 for 109.00 with the understanding that she would not leave any negative comments on line and she did. I strongly still believe that we did...

NOT scratch the floor the wood holder was 3 feet away from the fireplace and we had no reason to move it. My service man that was there has been with me for a long time and has no reason to lie as she claims and if she scratched my floor there is no way I would settle on $109.00. I consider this matter closed it unfortunate I have to be marked with a complaint when the costumer is at the wrong on this one.

no notice from you guys.? Went up and beyond  to satisfy him . You can contact the home owner.

I scheduled a cleaning for our chimney. The man who came used a camera in the chimney as a scare tactic to try to get us to buy a chimney liner and refused to clean the chimney unless we got the liner. My husband asked him to leave and never call us again. I never heard of someone refusing to do what they were hired to do.

Review: On April 1, 2014 Chimney Sweep came out to inspect and clean the chimney. He pulled a fully loaded wood rack on the wood floor to pull it away from the front of the fireplace so he could begin the job. My husband was present and immediately said "stop, you're scratching up the floor". The 6" scratch caused by his action was immediately pointed out to him. He responded by stating "I'm sorry" and went on to complete the job. On April 2, 2014, the company was contacted and notified about the damage. On April 7, 2014, I forwarded photos of the floor to receptionist by text as requested. A day or two later I was notified that a technician would come out to look at the floor. The technician the company sent was the chimney sweep who caused the damage. The sweep reported to the President that he didn't cause the damage, the scratch looked as though it was old and we were trying to get the floor repaired for free. I followed up with the company and was informed of the sweep reports, I was infuriated to know that the sweep reported and told a bold faced lie and that the president of a licensed, bonded, insured company who has been in business as long as they say would take this position. In all the years in business surely some damages has been caused and will be caused in the future. This action makes me really regret using Highs because if employees have to lie about situations of this nature, than this must not be a good company to work for.Desired Settlement: Refund-Credit Card Credit

Review: High's Chimney Service, Inc. was hired to complete the following: Rebuild the fire place chimney 15 courses, relay the cement crowns, rebuild the furnaces chimney from the flashing up with matching bricks and mortar, insulate new liners, and re-caulk the flashing to name a few... all totaling $6,600. The work was completed August 7th, 2014; five weeks later the week of Sept 15th, 2014 I contacted High's Chimney Services, Inc. by phone and email and forward photo's of an extremely cracked and crumbling cement crown(s). The mortar mix clearly has more sand mix and is not holding. I spoke with Mike P[redacted], President and he stated this was not a big deal, even though it was built five weeks earlier, but they would schedule a date to replace the cement crown(s); he assured me that the cement crowns would be completely replaced and not sealed leaving the poorly mixed mortar cement crowns in there state. October 1st, was scheduled as the appointment date for the replacement, a company by the name of SaverSystems arrived at my home and stated they were there to put a coat over the cracked and cement crowns product. I stated that High's Chimney Services, Inc. contract and Mike the owner agreed to replace the inappropriate mixed mortar which has caused multiple cracks. I called High's Chimney Service, Inc. immediately within minutes while SaverSystems were present, High's Chimney Services Inc. stated again they would setup an additional appointment to totally replace the crowns (which is to been seen).

Please note the following:

1) Mike P[redacted], was an extremely difficult person to speak with, he was argumental and would not take the responsibility for his workers / companies unacceptable/poor work.

2) It was impossible to communicate with his four workers (only the supervisor spoke English) and he did not remain with his workers onsite.

3) Photos are available; also, I will be contacting a licensed chimney inspection company to review all the work done.Desired Settlement: Total replacement of both cement crowns, and a complete inspection by the supervising team, assuring that all mortar used is the proper cement mixture code and the work outcome supports the High's Chimney Service, Inc. contract/warranty outlined; in addition I would like all non-cement work completed be inspected by a supervising team; assuring final work represents the promise in the contract.

Response:

We already redid the crown yesterday the same day she filed the complaint. Very unfair.

I would like a supervisor from High's Chimney's to confirm that the work was completed this time the correct way.

Mr. P[redacted],

I have reviewed your request request to have the above captioned matter deemed unreportable through your Revdex.com, and must deny your request at this time. While I can appreciate your frustration with this consumer and our publishing policies, we simply do not have the documentation or justification to close this as a non-reportable complaint.

[redacted]'s complaint meets Revdex.com Complaint Acceptance Policy, specifically it alleges a problem experienced with the services that High's Chimney Services provided. The complaint has been closed as assumed resolved, in the businesses favor, and will remain so at this time. Your claim that you were at her home when the complaint was filed does not match your response dated the day after the complaint was filed, stating that she would need to call your office to "set something up" for you to go out yourself.

I can certainly understand your hesitancy to want to dispute a consumer publicly, Revdex.com notified all its members, and anyone receiving or submitting a complaint that we now publish complaints under qualified privilege by the Communications Decency Act. Please remember that the benefit to our process over some other "gripe sites" is that we allow the business to respond to the complaint online so visitors see both sides of the story. Further, providing literal content of complaints received about a business and its verbatim responses adds transparency and openness to our process.

Please feel free to contact me with any further questions or concerns.

Thank you,

Review: Called them to come out and clean my chimney and wood burning stove. They said they could not do the work that I needed a liner, and various other items and it would cost 2,000.00. I asked them to send me the photos that they took. I have yet to receive the photos and e mail since my husband wants to see exactly what they spoke about. Second, they charged me a 109.00 an inspection fee that no one told me about when I made the appointment. I felt I was pressured to pay the fee and when I called the office to explain that I was never told of the fee, I was basically dismissed with explainations that this how the techs make their money etc... well, I don't mind paying a fee if I know about it up front but this is not the case.Desired Settlement: I want my 109.00 back.

Business

Response:

She never asked not to pay the fee? Do you think I want a complaint fot 109 dollars?

Her chimney is in bad shape and need to be worked on. Its a stanard fee for everyone to pay the
