experiencing problems with our alarm system called to troubleshoot & the level of service was inefficient & the staff & manager was condescending.I called Hightech Communications to advise that I had changed my telephone number and wanted to update my records and that I was having problems with one of the sensors in my kitchen window and therefore the alarm was stating a message that there was a fault with the kitchen window. After about 5 hours someone finally called me back yesterday and I gave [redacted] the employee I spoke with the new telephone number. I wanted to do a test to see if the alarm was working properly and was unable to perform the test because the telephone provider is not compatible with their system. I advised I was going to call [redacted] and see if I can have the service switch back and will call back once I had an update. I called yesterday and the rep was still out and I had to wait for a callback. Today on 4/1 I received a call from [redacted] and I explained the situation about the window and the sensor as well as the telephone provider and [redacted] became impatient and instead of advising me that she was going to transfer me to her manager she just gave him the phone. The manager didn't even have the courtesy to give me his name. His approach to the situation was so rude that I was baffled how a mamager can speak so condescending to a customer. I called him out on it and I told him I can't believe how rude he is being when I am trying to educate myself regarding their services so I can correct the issue. He stated that I am not understanding what they are telling me and that his employee has wasted 20 mins on the phone with me and he stated that he should bill me for all the time that his employee has been on the phone with me. I stated that I need to educate myself to make the right decision and that's part of the service that I pay for. He continued to cut me off over and over and wouldn't let me speak and just hung up on me. How can I trust this company to securely monitor my home with their alarm system when they can't even help you chose the right service because their only interest in money and not the satisfaction of the customer. The management and staff need to attend several seminars on how to treat their customers. Now I am left with a service that I paid for in full that doesn't fully function. But because they have their money they don't care about assisting me rectify the situation. Desired SettlementI want to fully understand my options and if we cannot troubleshoot the issue and work efficiently together then I can decide how to proceed. I don't want another customer to have to experience the disrespect that I had to endure and I want to make sure that another customer never have to experience the condescending manner I was treated.
