On August 12th I called [redacted] to get my dishwasher fixed, the next day on August 13th, the repair man ([redacted]) contacted me and said to me that he would order a pump as that is what it sounded like the problem was. He told me it would take about 5 days to come in, I waited and waited and finally he called me on the morning of August 24th (11 days later) saying that he would be coming out my way ([redacted]) later that day around 3:30, I said that was fine and would have someone here to let him in (as I was not home). Later on Monday around 3:20 I called the repair man and he said he would be on his way in 5 minutes, but he did not show up to my house till 4:30 (1 hour later). When he came into fix my dishwasher my father in law (Owner of the house, and dishwasher) was here and watched as he proceded to fix the dishwasher. He had old tools that were not even used to do the repair he was doing. When he pulled the dishwasher out and layed it on its side he scratched my floor. (he said he could fix it with a clear coat) but that will not work. When he told me about the scratch these were his words, [redacted] ( You can tell me to fix the whole floor, but then I wont return) this to me was very unprofessional [redacted]. While him and I were talking he informed me that because my dishwasher was installed on Laminate flooring that he should of walked out and not even tried to fix my dishwasher, [redacted]. The repair man DID NOT order the parts he said he would order, there for 3 weeks later my dishwasher is not fixed because he is refusing to come back to my house and fix it. I have been in contact with several people at the[redacted] customer service center and NO ONE has rectified the problem and had my dishwasher fixed, I have talked to a [redacted] in Ontario, and she has been in contacted with [redacted], but here I am stuck with my 800 dollar dishwasher that is on warranty with no one who wants to own up and let me know what is going on.Product_Or_Service: DishwasherDesired SettlementMy dishwasher to be repairedBusiness Response [redacted]Following your complain, we found that the technician in discussion did not proceed conform with our standards and as result of this he was suspended for a week from production and will complete a training seminar in communicating with customers.Although he tried to inform you that the unit in discussion was not installed properly (shut off water valve installed behind dishwasher, not accessible without removing product from its place) he failed to communicate the message of putting yourself in the situation were an accident might occur in the future and water could cause the flooding of your kitchen. We deeply apologize for the waiting time involved in having your product repaired, somehow the parts necessary are sometimes available only outside Saskatoon. We respected your request of not wanting to deal with us.However we found a different contractor for you, whom we sent with the necessary part, and we've been informed by this, that your product was repaired and the scratch corrected while you've been present during repair.Also we removed you from non serviceable customer list and will offer you in compensation for your stress and time waiting, one year free labor on any line of appliances which they might fail.Management HighTech Innovation Ltd Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)[redacted] them giving me a year free service on my appliances that's fine also, but there is only one service man that comes out this way and it is him. My floor looks disgusting in my eyes, the colors don't match and the clear coating is noticeable, yes it nice to kind of have it fixed but its not ok. As for the shut off valve, where else do you put it? hanging out of the side of the dishwasher? 90% of people I have talked to have their water shut off valve behind the dishwasher...
