I am rejecting this response because: If they knew that the invoice was an error, they should have had the courtesy to return one of the messages I left on their answering I will still wait for an invoice showing -0- balance-

The invoice was sent in error. Obviously a company cannot charge for services that were not rendered. The invoice may be discarded. We are aware that Hightower did not visit the homeowners property perform any service and we deleted the invoice in our system as soon as the mistake was realized. We...

are not sure why the homeowner would be concerned about an invoice that they clearly know was sent in error. Hightower is a reputable company and has never and will never 'rip' off anyone and did not expect to paid for services that were never rendered.

I was away from 10/1-10/5 and just saw this. I will personally write out a check to Mrs. [redacted] today. She should have it by Thursday or Friday. I recall this double payment and did authorize a refund. I do not handle accounts . However I do make the final decision in...

situations like this. Upon looking into Mrs. [redacted]'s file in my database  right now I see that my  assistant at the time credited Mrs. [redacted]'s account toward her next window washing. Many apologies for the confusion.

Review: When Hightower came to clean my windows in May 2014, I wrote a check for the services on 5/21/14 (check # #[redacted]). I was later billed for the same services, which I mistakenly paid on 10/10/14 (check # [redacted]). I have contacted them at least six times, twice giving them detailed information and was told they would look into it,. I have not been contacted. I have also called and left messages 4 other times and not been contacted.Desired Settlement: I would like to be reimbursed for the full amount of the second check ($1281.52)

Review: On June 7, 2014 Hightower Residential Service was to come to my home at [redacted] to wash the interior and exterior windows on my home between 8:00 a.m & 9:00 a.m Around 10:00 I called a contact at Hightower ([redacted].) asking him to call me because no one showed up. He never returned my call. Monday morning June 9th I called the Norwalk & Westport offices and left messages for [redacted] asking that she contact me but she called back. After leaving approx. 20 messages within a two week time period I finally called and spoke with ([redacted]). I advised her that no one showed up on 6/7/14 and that I had left several messages for [redacted] who doesn't return my calls. She said she would check it out and call me back, but never did. I finally gave up. On August 30th I receive an invoice #[redacted] for window washing service 06/7/14. I called Hightower and again leaving several messages for [redacted]. who doesn't call back. I sent an e-mail to [redacted]). He answers the e-mail the next day and apologizes and says he is now a separate company with Hightower with his own staff but will look into it and get back to me. Again, I don't hear from him so I sent another e-mailand he still hasn't answered I called ###-###-#### & ###-###-#### again leaving message for [redacted]. but no reply. I don't know what else to do, but I refuse to pay for services I never rec'd. I would not recommend this company to anyone for any type of work. Please make other consumers aware of they are not a reliable company. It seems that are in business to rip people off.Desired Settlement: Reversal of the charge $147. plus $9.33 tax which total $156.33 along with an explanation or phone call and a credit invoice showing the charge has been reversed.

Review: I hired High Tower to clean the windows at our home and clean our gutters. The windows were cleaned to our satisfaction but the crew failed to properly reattach one of the storm widows they took down from a second floor window. As a consequence, the storm fell off the building the next day and shattered. This was a custom fitted, wood framed storm window. We called High Tower, explained what happened and they sent someone to pick up the window two days later to "repair it."Four months later, after endless emails from me and broken promises from them, they returned the storm window without notice while I was away. Only instead of placing it back in the window it fell out of, they swapped with another undamaged storm. It seems clear that this was done to make it appear as though the broken storm window was fully restored. It was not. Unfortunately, they merely swapped the damaged storm with the storm from the immediately adjacent window and so their deceit was quickly uncovered.After another month, the owner ([redacted]) came out and apologized profusely, He then promised to have the whole situation rectified immediately...that was back in April and now High Tower is not returning calls or emails. It's now been 9 months since this problem occurred and High Tower is still dodging their responsibility. Despite repeated requests, they have not returned my storm window either so now I am faced with buying a new replacement and having it custom fitted to the window. I would also like to point out that when they jammed the "repaired" storm into wrong window frame, they forced it in so tightly it would not come out again. Finally, [redacted] was able to pry it out of the window frame but not without damaging the window trim which now must be repainted.I also discovered, subsequently, that High Tower did not actually clean our gutters as promised. During a heavy downpour, we discovered several downspouts were clogged following their visit and obviously did not get examined or cleaned.Desired Settlement: The storm window was beyond reasonable repair. It should be replaced, repainted and reinstalled by my own contractor at High Tower's expense. In addition, the window trim should be repainted as well. The charge for the gutter cleaning should be dropped given the poor job done and the endless delays in restoring our storm window to us.
