unfortunately sometimes a customer’s request for a refund cannot be justified.  Attached please find our responses to Ms. [redacted] filing with the Attorney General which details our side of the events she is making claims about.  Please include these attachments in your postings about Ms. [redacted]'s claims.  Highway 55 Rental deals with 1000’s of customers each year and our company’s philosophy has always been to take responsibility for problems that we cause and we expect our customers to do the same.  Ms. [redacted] is taking no responsibility for not properly describing her job or the piece of equipment she wanted to reserve.  Luckily her representative Jennifer [redacted] did describe the job to our staff and we were able to give her the piece of equipment that would actually do the job before they got and paid for an incorrect piece of equipment for the job they were doing. This debate could continue, but in reality as detailed in the Attorney General responses Ms. [redacted] agreed to the fee for the equipment she needed for a 24 hour rental period before leaving our store, and only after using the equipment for the 24 hours and accomplishing her project did she demand that she receive a reduced fee.  There certainly was no bait and switch, but rather good customer service by making sure our customer got and paid for a piece of equipment that could actually accomplish their project, rather than sending out a less expensive one that would not have done the job.  Sincerely, Reg [redacted] CFO Highway 55 Rental

Again I don’t see any new information here.  Apparently Jennifer [redacted] had knowledge of what items we have and told Ms. [redacted] to reserve a John Deer 475 Mower (which is a lawn mower) which is what we did at Ms. [redacted] request.  When we found out what project Ms. [redacted] was doing we gave Jennifer [redacted] the correct piece of equipment to complete the job.  Before Jennifer [redacted] took that item we confirmed with Ms. [redacted] the updated price and Ms. [redacted] agreed to pay the correct price for the much larger item and then proceeded to take that item and completed her project.
