Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 8, 2015/10/19) */ First id like to say sorry that this customer didn't feel like he had a good experience at Hwy auto salvage Mr [redacted] came in to the store for a part from us we told him there are two different parts and he elected to go with one on the shelf which was incorrectMr [redacted] them came back with his old part and we promptly exchanged the part without an issueHe returned a week later stating he didn't need part any longer due to it wasn't his problem he had a different problem and he didn't need this part anymoreWe told him his options were he could return the part for complete in-store credit or as It clearly states on two different places on our receipt's that parts that are not needed are subject to a 35% restocking fee and secondly it also says that electrical parts are non refundableIf this was a bad part we would of exchanged the part with no problembut he part wasn't bad it was simply not needed in that case its either a store credit of 35% restocking feeHwy feels like we did nothing wrong we followed our procedure and rules exactly how we are supposed to and made every effort to try and work with Mr[redacted] he just wasn't accepting our warrantyWe tried every effort to explain to him he wasn't trying to return a bad part he was returning a part that was not needed those are two different things completelyHwy feels like it acted completely within its rights to handle the situation the way it did Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 10, 2015/10/23) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) IT s not about having a good experience, experience have nothing to do with thisFirst of all I was never told about the two different parts the first time, I only found out they had two after I returned to change the part or get a refund, I agreed to go with the other part that was available but this time the part wasn't working at all I had the shop diagnosis and the result came out that the Throttle body wasn't working we bought another Throttle body from different person and it works better that is when I decided to return the part back so I wouldn't have to waste my time driving a long distance just to have Hwy auto salvage repeatedly selling me a wrong or none working partSecondly I only asked for a refund and told them that the part wasn't working and I cannot keep driving over there and that we did found some good working part else where that is when the employee started talking about in store credit it seem the employee was just not happy that the part was returned For the in store credit of 35% restocking fee written on the back of the receipt customers don't read or see receipts before they pay for a part, They pay before they see or read the receipt you don't expect a customer to pay then stay in your store and read the entire paragraph before either leave or refundI didn't disagree with you following your procedure and rules my problem is that you people don't know what you sold to me as a customer No one want to accept your mistake more than once before you agreed to refund I made up my mind that I don't want to waste my time any more or buy any part from your store or else I will keep falling for the same mistake that your store keep causingThat is my right as a customerI hope your procedure and rules didn't tell you to sell customer a none working part Thank you
