letter-spacing: 0.55pt;">To whom it may concern; I am gladly responding to the false accusations made towards my business and to myself. I have attached documents as proof of my statement. I also have video, if needed. I have a signd contract with the property owner, which gives me full authority to remove ANY vehicle (broke down, flat, for sale, abandoned, ect.) at any time from their parking lot. For that reason on the morning of December 7th, 2014, I received a phone call from one of the managers to remove an abandoned vehicle. He said it had been there for a week and it had obscene objects, inappropriate for children. That being said, it had to be removed a.s.a.p. since there are only family stores all around. I picked up the vehicle the same day and made the ticket with the charge of the towing. On December 9th a registered letter stating all charges up untill that day, a total of $385.40 ( Towing,Tax, storage, impound and notification). The regestered letter was picked up from the Post office untill December 15th, which makes the individual picking up the vehicle, fully aware of the price. I go strictly by the T.D.L.R. rules and regulations. For that reason there is a $250 pp tow fee $50 notification fee $20 impound fee $20 fee per day of sorage plus a 6.75% tax on impound & storage. All of these charges are set by T.D.L.R. That gave a total of $ 534.85 as of 12/16/14. The owner of the car paid $462.50 that is a discount of $ 70. Then the car was towed from my storage to D&R Automotive to be repaired, since it was broke down. It was fifteen miles, at $3 per mile and $40 hook up, total of $ 85, which the individual did not pay.
Yes there was an altercation, started by the individual that was upset, stating that he did not want to pay for the charges in a verbally and physically threatening manner. That's when I had to step up and put a stop to his threats. After that, he calmed down, I nicely agreed to gave him a discount. ($70)
As far as a $140 refund, that will not happen. I gave him a $70.00 discount and still owes me $85.00 for towing his broke down car. I am fair with my charges and don't think I or anyone should work for free. As far as my resolution, he can pay me what he owes. [redacted]
