to replace the brake lines because of being rusty. I told him that it was fairly expensive. He said he had two hundred fifty dollars to spend. I told him that it was not enough to replace all of them, but we would do the best we could.
When he came in to pick up his car I could tell he was upset. He said that we had not done hardly anything to his vehicle. I assured him that we had done at least two hundred fifty dollars worth including parts and labor. I informed him that his gas tank straps were falling off, I had taken care of the worse brake lines but I knew he was not satisfied. There was no way he was going to listen to me. A day later I called him back and told him to come in and we would try to resolve the issue. He hung up on me.
My three brothers and I have been in business for fifty years this year. We're all still working, we do not rip off people. We don't advertise, we rely on our honesty and word of mouth. We have had very few complaints over the years. I really don't feel like I have done anything wrong in this situation.
