To whom it may concern in reference to the complaint made against Hillcrest Pharmacy and Optical here are the details. We have the patients information on file. When a prescription is sent through insurance, the insurance company determines the patient's co pay. There are
preferred/non preferred Pharmacies, in network/out of network pharmacies and tiers. Different tiers determine the patients co pay. For this specific patient and her insurance we are not a preferred pharmacy. What does this mean? It means all co pays will be higher here at our Pharmacy then a preferred Pharmacy. Preferred Pharmacies for this patient are *** *** ***. We have included a print out to show all her prescriptions filled were sent through her insurance company. The insurance company set her co pay's not Hillcrest Pharmacy and Optical. We also included a print out from *** that shows preferred pharmacies near her. We had no control over what she paid.
