Hilliard Chiropractic Group Reviews (%countItem)

This business has a unique philosophy on chiropractic care, one that all people require chiropractic maintenance throughout their lives. You're asked to watch a 40 minute video created to explain why you should need to maintain or correct your spine health from "sublaxations" and why this office is the only one that should help you with that. The video is very convincing and I initially felt I was very lucky to have come to this office. Of course, you are only asked to watch this video because the x-rays you take on the first visit take 40 minutes to be ready and be reviewed by the chiropractor. When I was being shown my x-rays, it seemed the only reason for them are to show you how bad your spine is, and to convince you to come in bi-weekly until your spine is corrected enough to be put on a "maintenance plan". I was not told in any way how my x-ray will be affecting the way he will be performing the adjustments, which should be the main point of the x-ray.

At the front desk, I was told my payment options. I can put it on insurance, resulting in a $45 cost each visit, or I can pay $120 on the first visit to be put on a monthly plan, where I only pay $20-40 depending on how often I come in this month. I opted to pay the $120 and be put on the plan. However on my second visit I was told that my initial $120 does not affect the plan cost and that I would need to come in more often to be eligible for $20 visits. (Why was I ever asked to pay extra on the first visit?) My cheapest option on this second visit appeared to be using insurance, but by doing that, I was told I'm no longer eligible for future x-rays as only members who come bi-weekly get x-rays as to not dissuade patients who do not come as often from thinking the program is not working for them. As I clearly did not understand the payment options, the receptionist started to write them down on a piece of paper, showing that dispute having multiple payment "plans" or "memberships" that it was not important enough to have prepared a printed option guide, and that all patents are explained the plans in person.

The philosophy of medical care in this office, encouraging a high number of office visits, and the payment options provided that further enforce the idea that "More visits are better" only prove to me that patients are not treated as they should be by this office. I am not going back for a third visit, or to attempt to dispute the charges I paid, as I feel I have been ripped off, as the atmosphere of the office is hectic. It is truly a "Drive thru chiropractic" much like a fast food restaurant.

For the positives, the staff are very friendly and the chiropractor I had appeared to be knowledgeable.
Whether that is a veneer for darker intentions, I leave to you.
