This email is in response to case number [redacted]. First I would like to say that I personally told my technician not to inspect their property at [redacted]. It was not safe for him to climb a ladder in a basement section then attempt to crawl across the heating unit and into...

the crawlspace. He could have damaged the unit or the duct work or hurt himself severely.  We take moisture readings with a moisture meter. This provides us with a digital readout of the moisture content within the wood. I have used this device from the first day I took over the company on 11/1/2014(the previous owner did not use any device to check the wood).Concerning the inspection at [redacted] on 6/12/15, Mr. [redacted] verbally accosted my technician Sam about the length of time it took him to inspect the home. We all went back and watched Sam inspect the home while I timed the inspection. Mr. [redacted] apologized to Sam before he could get out of the crawlspace door and walked off. Mr. [redacted] states that Sam was dirty when he came from the crawlspace, he never saw him after he was out of the crawlspace. During this inspection, moisture readings were taken and the moisture levels were found to be high. Treatment was recommended. Later that day we inspected and treated another property in Colonial Heights, VA for the [redacted]s.Mr and Mrs [redacted] called at a later date to complain about the level of service they were provided. They felt like they should not be charged full price for the inspection/treatment  in Crewe. My resolution was to inform them that there would be no charges for ANY of the three inspections and treatments. I also told them that it seemed as though they didn't approve of the way in which we inspect and treat properties and that it would be in both of our interests if they contacted another pest control company to service their properties.Currently their accounts show a $0.00 balance. They have made no payments on the accounts. The account balances have been at $0.00 since 7/18/15 which is the day I personally credited the accounts. The [redacted]s have not received any invoices with a balance since this date.In summation, the [redacted]s received 3 treatments and inspections, for which Hill's Exterminating did not receive compensation nor do we expect to receive compensation. The letter I received states that there is a disputed amount of $330.00. They have not paid any money on the account. I do not understand how this could be disputed. If additional information is needed, please feel free to email me at this address or contact me via my cell phone([redacted]). Also, if you could please send me a confirmation email upon your receipt, that would be greatly appreciated.Sincerely,Justin H[redacted]

Review: On 6/8/15, Hill's Ext, (Justin)& employee (Sam) partially inspected [redacted] stating that he could not do the whole house because the crawl space was too low for (Sam). Justin indicated to my wife, [redacted] that he was afraid that his employee (Sam) may injure himself and cause damage to the duct work. Because of this partial inspection, the inspection was incomplete. In addition, Justin stated that he would only be able to certify a portion of the house to the mortgage company being termite free if she was ever to try and sell it. It should be noted that other service people such as Direct TV, plumbers and electricians have crawled underneath the house with little or no problems. Also, at the end of the partial and incomplete inspection, (Justin) attempted to sell to my wife a moisture control system costing over $2,000.00. Of all the years that the house have been inspected for termites, moisture had never been an issue. On 6/12/15, Hill's Ext, (Justin) & employee (Sam) inspected [redacted] From my kitchen window, I observed Sam sticking his head into the crawl space off my patio for all of 1 minute and came out to inspect the other crawl space on the west side of the house. By the time I got around to the other crawl space, Sam was already out ( his clothes were clean ) with a gadget in his hands stating that we had a moisture problem. When I challenged how long it took for Sam to do his termite inspection, Justin sent Sam back underneath the house and timed him. It took Sam 2 minutes to crawl the length of our house (2,400 sq ft rancher). There is no way that anyone can do an inspection for termites in that period of time. When Sam came out the 2nd time, his clothes were dirty. The first time he was clean. Of all the years we have had been under contract with the previous owner of the company, moisture had never been an issue. On July 3, 2015, Justin informed my wife that he would no longer honor the service agreement between us.Desired Settlement: Not be charged for incomplete services.
