Hillsboro Storm Shelters Reviews (3)

We had a "Jumbo" 6'10"X10' shelter installed todayI was a little concerned that there might be ruts left on our property, being that we had experienced rain in the area the day beforeHillsboro Storm Shelters assured my husband that if there was damage done, they would fix it
I was extremely pleased with their work ethic They were very professional and hard-working, and did an extremely good job on the installation of our shelterThese people are honest, and will not rip you offTheir honesty was the one thing that stood out the mostYou just don't see a lot of that nowadays
They are also very reasonable on their pricing compared to some of their competitorsI would recommend Hillsboro Storm Shelters to anyone who is seeking protection from our very unpredictable weather here in Texas
Thank you so much Hillsboro Storm Shelters!

I was given excellent customer service and good and clear communication Hillsboro Storm Shelters answered all my questions and concerns and followed through on everything they stated They helped me in finding the best spot on my property for installation while caring for my wife's requests The installers were professional and the invoice I was given was Exactly what I was told it would be....I found one complaint challenging their integrity and questioned them about it, and found that they were happy to explain it and it made perfect sense to me
This is a fine operation running on the cheapest prices that I could find I wish I could afford One for all my extended family because I would buy from them

In mid-May, Mr [redacted] made an appointment for the installation of a 6'x8' slope top storm shelter.  No deposit was paid.  It had rained a couple of days prior to the scheduled date.   On 4/27 I spoke to him.  I wanted to see if rescheduling the appointment was necessary.  He...

said he believed the ground was dry enough.  I explained to him that our equipment is heavy.  He said we'd be fine and I could send the crew the next day.  Upon arrival our driver explained that there would be ruts due to the weight of the  truck/shelter.  He said it was fine, he would take care of it.  Mr [redacted] then left the property.    Our driver had one shot to get the truck in.  That's why the hole was dug first.  Driving over soft ground repeatedly is not an option.   The damage is greater and the odds of getting the truck stuck increase with each attempt.  Our driver went in the way Mr [redacted] had instructed.  The truck didn't sink 2 feet on the way in.  The back wheels got stuck very close to the point that needed to be reached in order to complete the installation.  I have pictures that will be submitted to Revdex.com.  Mr [redacted] was notified.  He arrived, stayed for a few minutes and gave them the name of a local tow truck company, and left again.  I covered the cost of the pull.  I incurred a lot of additional costs as well. The following day (4/29), I received a text and 2 pictures from him.  No other attempt to contact me was made.  The next time I heard from him was Sunday, May 8.  He left a review on our Facebook page stating that he's "out $1200 in damages".  The amount provided to Revdex.com is different.  I'm not debating the fact that the damage was done.  The truck had to be pulled out which is when the majority of the damages happened.  It wasn't "at the beginning" as he states.  Mr [redacted] should have been on the property during the installation.  If at any time he felt uncomfortable he could have stopped it all.  Our driver made the decision to proceed based on the info Mr [redacted] provided.  On 5/9, I requested all contact be made by email or text so that we have documentation of all conversations from that point on. I will submit copies of all correspondence to Revdex.com.  He wants me to pay for repairs.  I have not agreed to do so.  He has stated that he wants to take legal action.  I believe we have reached a point where it's best to let a third party decide what is fair.
