In response to the subject claim: The dining set was shipped from our warehouse on November 2nd, 2015 and the product was delivered on November 10th, 2015. On November 12th, 2015 customer submitted a complaint through the retail seller, Homelement.com, that she was not satisfied with the...

construction of the product. On the same day November 12th, 2015, Hillsdale offered an option to allow the return of the product, with full refund, and no restock fee or a discount to keep the product as is. Customer was not satisfied with either option offered. Negotiations pursued from November 12th, 2015 through November 20th, 2015 at which time, customer accepted a discount to keep the dining set. On May 3rd, 2016, more than 5 months after discount was accepted, Ms. [redacted] contacted Homelement again to try and return the product, notwithstanding that she had accepted the product as with a discount in November 2015. Furthermore, returning the product was not even an option at that time because the packaging had been discarded.  Hillsdale Furniture, LLC believes the issue to be a Buyer’s remorse claim (not a construction problem with the product) and Hillsdale offered reasonable options to the customer to resolve the issue, which the customer initially accepted. Based on customer description and photographs submitted of the product, Hillsdale determined that there is no defect, damage or issue with the product.  Hillsdale has done all it feels appropriate to satisfy this customer.
