Revdex.com,In response to the complaint issued on behalf of [redacted]. Ms. [redacted] was provided with the contract upon agreeing to have dog training for her White German Shepherd "Kenai". This agreement was signed and dated 5-23-14 by Ms. [redacted] and she was also...

provided with a copy to take home. The terms of the dog training contract/agreement are as follows:NO refunds or cancellations of this contract. If the owner must reschedule or cancel a lesson, it must be done by phone 24 hours prior to the scheduled lesson/appointment, if not the lesson is forfeited. If owner cannot complete all lessons due to unforeseen circumstances, Shawn has the right to reschedule client at some other workable time.Owner has been honest about the dog training. Owner has to follow the rules regarding safety for dogs and people while on the property or in class on public property.Ms. [redacted] called [redacted] on 6-11-14 to advise she could not make her appointment at the facility on 6-13-14 due to transportation issues. Specifically having one vehicle available to the entire household to utilize. She had expressed wanting to have session on Friday at her home. I advised Ms. [redacted] that I could not accommodate that specific time but could accommodate her later that day. (due to the fact her training was scheduled at facility and other appointments scheduled not allowing for the trainer's drive time to and from) Ms. [redacted] became upset. I explained the above mentioned situation but to her dissatisfaction she became irate. I offered to provide training in her home as she had suggested due to her transportation issue. She agreed but when was told that the next two Friday's were not available for in home sessions she demanded a refund.I explained to Ms. [redacted] that per the contract she had signed that there was a no refund/cancellation policy. Ms. [redacted] then became more irate stating that this would not be good for our business and that she is either good for business or bad. I again tried to accommodate Ms. [redacted] by offering future Friday's at her home she was still not happy I advised Ms. [redacted] if her current situation did not allow for training that we could and will accommodate her when it is convenient for her. But again that there is a no refund policy.
Ms. [redacted] then stated I had seven days to have a refund check in her mailbox or she would contact an attorney and hung up the phone. At this time, [redacted] stands firm regarding it's signed contract by the complainant and our no refund policy. We are extending Ms. [redacted] the opportunity to utilize the training sessions in the future at her home. Ms. [redacted] was provided with a copy of this contract.

Hillside K9 Academy is has been an amazing experience for myself, my wife and 2 children. [redacted] has taken in our golden retriever and done great work with him in his puppy stages. The company is very friendly, accommodating and trusting with my family and our dog. I would highly recommend their services to anyone looking for training or simply a place to board your dog. I have been around dogs, trainers and business in this area for a long time and I can tell you that this particular business is different from the rest. Their prices are fair and consistent with the market and the end result is fantastic.

Review: My name is [redacted] and I was diagnosed 3 years ago with Rheumatoid Arthritis and chronic pain. I have trouble sitting, standing more than 30 minutes and I am unable to lift or work. I am on complete disability. I went to this trainer to help with the training of my service dog to enable me to continue with my independence. My first paid private appointment was shared with another client without my permission (I paid for private)which took half the time away from myself and my dogs training. The following appointment which when scheduling and selecting a time I thought this was to be a standing appointment through-out the training, I was sadly mistaken. My second appointment my health was an issue which for obvious reasons, the training of my service dog, they were well aware of my health issues I called to cancel the day before being Thursday before. Friday t 9:15 I received a call asking if I was going to come to my session which I canceled 24 hours in advance which is pretty standard. Because of my health and the inability to work in the extreme heat and drive 20-30 minutes each direction, I asked to have appointments at my home and I would pay the difference. This is when I found out that they could not do this because of scheduling conflicts which I understood. The dates and times they attempted to offer did not work for me and I ask them to refund the difference. I understood that I canceled (because I could not walk for health reasons) and if they felt they needed to charge me for the appointment fine but I also wanted a discount for the non private first appointment when I paid for private. Because of the conflict with scheduling I asked for a refund of the remaining $255.00 and was told they do not refund money and with a NO Cancelation Policy I would not be getting my money back. I was told it was in the contract which when given to me I informed [redacted] (co-owner)I did not have my glasses and could not read it. I was never made aware of this policy! I want my $255.00 refunded.Desired Settlement: I only want the difference between what I paid $325.00 and what I used 2 appointment only one private full price would of been $70.00. I want my $255.00 refunded in full as I was never made aware of any policies otherwise and [redacted] the co-owner was aware could not see as I was very clear on that.
