Review: I went to this shop to get a tattoo covered, but they did not openly show me when they opened the needles and making sure everything was clean. I let them do the tattoo and it had redness immediately but I was not worried I even went and showed it to the shop and they said it was fine but the next day bumps appeared and I went to see a doctor and it was and infection. I was taking care of the tattoo as to the instructions they provided me. I went and talked to them about it and they said to come back when the boss came in. before I could get back to the shop one of the tattoo artist that worked on me showed up on my front porch asking where I was. I then called the boss and asked what they were going to do to fix this, they said nothing... and they also said that there is no laws stating health regulations for cleanliness in the state of Idaho and there was nothing I could do to them. so here I am making sure I get the word out that way no one else has to go through what I am going through.Desired Settlement: I am wanting the 100.00 dollars I put in towards the tattoo plus the gas having to drive to doctors and filing all these complaints. I also want the doctor bill paid plus the medications I have to take. as well as the pain and suffering for having this infection. total I would say it is around 275.00

Regarding a complaint

Friday May the 10th, our neighbor got a tattoo on her left thigh. After being rescheduled 3 times on her behalf, with no deposit was still granted an opportunity to be tattooed. This "client" had a tattoo that needed covered, she said that they had gotten it from a local shop and that the "tattoo artist" after completing the line work had offered to finish the tattoo for sex, she declined. Then later said that she demanded a refund for the tattoo. Well my employees felt bad for her and said that they would fix up the tattoo. My employees worked on the tattoo for almost 3 hours and only charged her 100 dollars(our going rate is $100 an hour). She left the shop extremely satisfied, and thankful of the tattoo. When she was getting that tattoo all finished up the Artists gave her specific healing instructions on how to heal the tattoo. She was informed on what to use and whatnot to use on the healing of the tattoo. Sunday May 12th, the "client" stopped by the shop to have one of my employees look at the tattoo, it had a lot of ointment on the tattoo, he had informed her that she wasn't supposed to have any ointment on the tattoo, then he cleaned the tattoo for her. Monday, May 13th the neighbor came over with two males, clearly trying to intimidate one of the artists into giving a refund on the tattoo. He had informed her that we did not give refunds and that if she needed a touch up when it was done healing that he could do so. Later that day, she called the shop demanding that I give a refund for the tattoo, she also said that they would be filling a complaint, I simply told her/him that Idaho doesn't have any laws regarding the tattoo industry other than an age law. I also told her that we don't give refunds, that we are a completely disposable shop. We use disposable equipment in order to cut down the exposure and risk of contamination in the shop. We order our equipment from one of the largest tattoo companies in the world, and all our needles and tubes come in a blister packet sterilized by gas. This "client" demanded a refund, because she was used to getting refunds. Like America, we do not deal, we do not negotiate with irrational people, If you are going to invest time and money into getting a tattoo, give the same into healing the said tattoo. We hold our shop at the highest of standards(whether it is Art or Health Standards), we don't take these precautions lightly, we go above and beyond most of the safety standards for the industry, despite Idaho not having any.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 9542762, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

They said no such thing about using nothing on my tattoo they told me to use bag bom I asked if aquaphor would be ok both said it would I did not cancel the tattoo apt three times once I forgot and once I changed the date the third time I got it done and the two males with me were not trying to intimidate they were up set that I had an infection and the male on the front porch did not know anything and told us to talk to the owner but one of the other tattoo men in the shop had told me that he was the owner of the shop and I did not see them open anything nor show me any closed needles now I know to ask but when they showed up at my home door cussing at my boyfriend that's all good how come they did not put that in there response or the fact that they were texting me saying I was slandering them. They were trying to intimidate me into no letting people know where I got my tattoo which I did remove there name off Facebook as a courtacy but its not stopping me from reporting them now nor ever
