These people dangle a low rate in front of you to get you to sign on and then nickel and dime you to deathEvery month they would charge me a late charge even when I had mailed the payment over a week before it was dueThen when I called to ask them to waive the late fee, they charged me $for speaking to a customer service rep, which appeared on my bill as 10/"Debit" - so I had to call to find out what that meant, and probably would have been charged another $but fortunately I had already fired Hino as soon as my contract was overI've dealt with numerous electric companies over the years and Hino is by far the worst

Not sure why this company has been permitted by the *** *** *** ** *** to conduct its business in the way that it doesThey will charge you for a telephone call to customer service! (Who else does that?!) They charged me $for insufficient funds because my credit card in their autopay records had expired(credit card limit is $21,000; insufficient funds?) All of my other businesses who offer the option of autopay by credit card will alert me to the fact that their records indicate that the card is expiring, rather than trying to process an expired cardOther businesses will give me the opportunity to update their records firstTheir website is “buggy”, preventing me from updating the credit card on lineHad to get them to e-mail me an application to enter a new (not!!) credit card which I had to complete by hand, scan, and attach to an e-mail to return to themWould have charged me a $fee to update the credit card info while on the telephone with themTheir response to this will be to reply with a copy of the contract that I had agreed to which has all of these nefarious charges embedded in the fine printWill dump them as soon as contract expires and will never do business with them againCan’t recommend them to anyone!

Then when I called to ask them to waive the late fee, they charged me $5 for speaking to a customer service rep, which appeared on my bill as 10/26 "Debit" - so I had to call to find out what that meant, and probably would have been charged another $5 but fortunately I had already fired Hino as soon as my contract was over. I've dealt with numerous electric companies over the years and Hino is by far the worst.

I was charged a return payment fee of $45 and never in my life have I been charged such a fee. They trick you with wording. I have never seen this fee from any other company. I have only heard of banks charging return check fees where there would be such a need to pass that fee through to customers. I consider it fraud and unfair trade practices.
