Hippo Car Wash Reviews (7)

Good afternoon, this is to inform you that my dispute with Triple Crown Meat has been resolvedThank you for your help

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I did tell the assistant manager about the chips everywhere on the car after the carwash. specifically the mirrors. He reassured me it would be taken care of and that the cameras are so high definition that it would show prior to going through the car wash. Of course I was upset because he was speaking to me condescendingly especially at the end of the conversation. I also have the salesman from the sale of the car within a week of purchasing it as well as the servicemen at the dealership who will attest that the paint job was not perfect but there were no chips in it and I had it into the dealership mid week after purchasing the car to have a fog light replaced. He did not offer to show the video and if he will provide it and show that this damage was there prior to the carwash then it will be a moot point and I will accept the outcome. If the manager speaks to women in this way all the time, he should consider not working with the public. His responses definitely brought out my angry demeanor. Sincerely, [redacted]

The client in question came through Hippo Car Wash on the morning of Saturday, February 25thShe was given a car wash, prepped, cleaned, and dried, and drove away from the car wash without any complaintsShe then returned later in the day and told the Assistant Manager on duty
that the car wash had damaged her vehicleShe claimed that the front of her vehicle had the paint chipped off by the car washThe Assistant Manager informed her that I would be gone until Monday, gave her my business card, and told her that I would contact her sometime on MondayShe called me on Monday the 27th at noon, but I missed her phone call because I was busy helping other customers at Hippo Car WashShe left me a voicemail, and I called the customer back at my earliest convenience, an hour later at o’clock on Monday the 27thWhen I spoke with the customer on the phone, she claimed that her vehicle had white marks and indents in the wheel-wells, contradictory to what she had told the Assistant Manager on the 25th, made no mention about any chipped paint on the front bumper, back of her mirrors, or roof of her vehicleI even asked her if the wheel-well damage was the only damage to her vehicle, and she said yesI asked her if she knew where in the car wash the damaged occurred, and she told me she did not knowWe agreed that she would come in the following morning at o’clock so that we could talk in person and check out the vehicle together, and give me time to review the footage of her vehicle being washedWhen I watched the footage, her vehicle was prepped, cleaned, and dried without any incident occurring, and left the car wash looking cleaner, but otherwise the same in reference to any damageWe met at o’clock on the 28th of February in Hippo Car Wash’s parking lotThe first thing the customer told me was that our car wash chipped the paint off the front of her vehicle, on the hood, and the side mirrorsShe made no reference to any damage at all to her wheel-wells, which lined up with what she told the Assistant Manager on Saturday, but directly contradicted what she had told me over the phoneI asked her the same question that I had asked her on the phone about where in the car wash she believed the damage occurred to her vehicle, and she said again that she wasn’t sureI then proceeded to explain to her that I had reviewed the footage, and started by telling her the employee who had prepped her vehicle kept a reasonable distant with the prep gun, so as to not damage the vehicle, and that everything else in our automated tunnel performed normally, causing no damage to her vehicleI also told her that even if the person prepping her vehicle had gotten too close to the paint, it would have stripped the vehicle’s paint off in one clean sweep, not in the spotted pattern that was on her mirrors, roof, and front bumperAfter explaining this to her, she then claimed that she thought the damaged was incurred from our soft touch bristles, because the vehicle in front of her had been very dirty when it entered the car wash ahead of herI then explained to her that with every vehicle that comes through the car wash, just like how we had prepped her vehicle, we completely and thoroughly prep the vehicle so that it is free of any rocks, dirt, or mud before we send them through the automated portion of the tunnel, where our soft touch bristles are locatedSo no matter how dirty a vehicle is when they enter the tunnel, by the time the vehicle makes it to our soft touch bristles, it has no debris on it that could be caught by the bristles to then damage other vehiclesI also told her that our soft touch bristles are incapable of holding dirt or moisture, so even in the hypothetical situation that a vehicle made it to the soft touch bristles with debris still on it, the soft touch bristles would not be able to hold the debris, it would instead be repelledShe continued to insist that the soft touch bristles must have had dirt in them, and that it scratched her carI explained to her that although it is impossible for the soft touch bristles to hold dirt or moisture, even in the hypothetical situation that they could hold on to some debris, the soft touch bristles would have left long swipes across the entire body of the vehicle, not just some small dotted spots on her mirrors, hood, and front bumper, as well as damaging every other vehicle that came through the wash after herSeeing as every other car we washed that day came out of the tunnel completely unscathed, it further proved that the damage to her vehicle could not have been caused by the soft touch bristlesI tried to explain to her that with the chipped paint on her vehicle only appearing on the hood, back cover of the mirrors, and front bumper, the damage likely came from the vehicle being driven during winter conditions, when salt and gravel is found in abundance on all roads during the winter seasonWe had just received fresh snowfall as well, which means more salt and gravel was put out on the roads, and if you drive your vehicle at all during the winter, one unfortunate consequence of that is other vehicles traveling in front of your vehicle can kick up the gravel and salt, which can impact your vehicle and cause paint to chip in the same fashion that her paint was chippedShe insisted that the vehicle had never been driven during winter conditions, despite the vehicle being years old, and considering she had only owned the vehicle for one week, she would have no knowledge as to what road conditions the vehicle had been driven in by previous owners for the last yearsHer claim that the vehicle had never been driven during winter conditions by her or the previous owners was further negated by the fact that she had at the very minimum, driven the vehicle to and from Hippo Car Wash during winter conditions on three separate occasions since taking ownership of the vehicleShe asked me where we should go from here, and I told her that if she wanted to get the paint job fixed, that was her choice, and she could take it to her body shop and get it fixed, but we would not be paying for itIt was at this point in the conversation that the customer began to be unreasonable with me and began to take a rude tone with meShe did not want to hear what I was telling her, despite the fact that I was trying to be as calm and polite as possible, and explain to her that our car wash could not damage her vehicle in the way she claimed it didShe told me that she knew our business must be a shady place because she had to call me first, and then wait for me to call her backI tried to tell her that I had called her at my earliest convenience on Monday, which was my first day back to work since the incident, but she was already walking away from me and no longer listening to meI tried to end the conversation on a high note as she was walking away from me, and told her to have a good rest of her day, to which she responded, and I quote, that I could go “*** ***”She then got into her vehicle and proceeded to leave the premisesHippo Car Wash has always taken the stance that if we are even half way responsible for causing damage to a vehicle in any way that was not previously there, we will pay for the damage to be remediedHowever, in the case of the customer in question, the damage of her vehicle was obviously incurred from rocks chipping the paint during winter driving conditionsNothing in our tunnel is capable of damaging the vehicle in the manner that she claimed it was damagedIn reference to the video footage not being shown to her, I would have gladly shown her the footage, but at no point during our conversation did she even ask to see the footageIn addition, by the time I had explained to her that our car wash was incapable of causing the damage she claimed we had caused, she had become so irritated and short with me that I couldn’t even offer to show her the footageAlthough the conversation wasn’t ended on the friendliest of terms, Hippo Car Wash stills wishes the customer the best, and hopes she will give us another try in the future to make her vehicle clean and happy *** *** Hippo Car Wash

I do not accept his response, because I have not tried any of his product. His food is in my freezer doing nothing but taking up space. I have no intentions of eating it after reading the  reviews. Hopefully he'll realize he lied about the incident.

Company states that they purchased the product and the very next day, they called. The company asked if they had eating any and they said yes. They said that they couldn't do a refund as on the brochure given. The consumer then tried to change their story and said that they did not eat any. The...

company said that they can't resell the meat after some has been eaten. The consumer called back at a later date and apologized and said that they did eat the food and they really enjoyed it and that it was a good product.
