HiQ Solar Reviews (%countItem)

They are not honoring warranty on failed inverters. Inverters are not lasting very long. None one will respond at company.
We purchased 15 TS480-8k inverters in 2017 through an installer Intermountain Wind and Solar. These items have a 10 year warranty and 20 year life expectancy. Less than 3 years have passed *** only 2 of the original inverters have remained working without repair. All the other inverters have gone out for repairs and 4 were replaced. We have had one inverter out for repair for 9 months their RMA number XXXXX. They quit responding to my calls and the calls of the installer. Since waiting for this inverter to be repaired 5 more inverters have failed but we can't get a hold of anyone to get an RMA number to send them in for repair. Those inverters have been repaired once before. Some of the RMA numbers for past inverter repairs are ***
Bottom Line:

1 repair inverter has been in their shop for repair for 9 months
5 units need repair but haven't been able to send in because no one responds

I need a number to call them where someone will respond and fix warranty inverters.

Desired Outcome

I would like all the failed inverters to be repaired or replaced in a reasonable amount of time and have a responsive contact. I tried calling several times and the installer have tried call for months and not answer to phone or emails.

I have not heard any further from HiQ.

Purchased 3 x TS208-5k75 TrueString Inverters 8/16. All 3 failed within 11 months of use by 9/19. No refund/replacements or recent emails from HiQ.
We purchased three (3) TS208-5k75 TrueString Inverters from HiQ Solar in August 2016 for $***. With additional associated harware, the quote totaled $***.

Those three inverters were installed and began operation in September 2018. The first inverter failed on June 24, 2019 after about 9 months of operation. The second and third inverters failed in late August 2019 after 11 months of service.

All three inverters were returned to HiQ Solar by September 17, 2019. HiQ Solar notified us on October 7, 2019 that none of the units were repairable and that we were to receive three (3) upgraded 208v units. On November 5, 2019 HiQ Solar reported that they did not have 208v units in stock and that the units will not become available until later 2019, after manufacturing was set up and units were being produced. In late December 2019, HiQ Solar reported that manufacturing was "coming along" and that production would start "soon".

HiQ Solar has never committed to any certain date by which we can expect to receive the replacement products.

Since then we have contacted HiQ Solar many times for updates, but they stopped responding to inquiries in January 2020.

To date, we have been left without the first inverter for 320 days and without all three for 256 days. As a result we have a 20 kW photovoltaic array that is unable to deliver any power because of the failure of all three of the HiQ Solar inverters. We have repeatedly demanded replacements or a full refund of the purchase price for the products, but to no avail and with no communication from the company.

Desired Outcome

Our 1st choice would be replacement of the 3 inverters with comparable units that are not prone to early failure. Our second choice would be a refund of the $*** cost of the inverters and associated hardware.

Failure to honor warranty
We purchased 21 inverters from them 2 years ago, they have a 10 year warranty.
10 units have failed. They insisted that we ship them back for analysis, which we did.
there has been no response from the company since then. that was 3 months ago.
I have called at least 30 times, the message box is full and they dont pick up the phone. they don't respond to email either.
I have a *** loss of equipment and lost production costs because of this.

Desired Outcome

Refund or replacement of defective products

I still have not heard from these people

We had a solar system installed on our facility, the contractor used inverters by the brand of HiQ Solar. We were not producing much power, had the contractor install monitoring system, came to find out that several of the HiQ inverters were faulty. Contacted HiQ, they warrantied them as they went bad. We are still having an issue, they no longer answer the phone, don't return emails, and don't return phone calls as it seems all their inboxes are full.
We have lost opportunity of solar production, resulting in incurred costs in power bill.
We have incurred costs in shipping, and lost revenue due to time expended on the issues with the HiQ product.

Desired Outcome

Refund Options: -Refund all of the inverters, we will go do business with a different brand. -Do the right thing and stand by your product, and quit dodging calls and emails.
