Hired H.I.S Home LLC to tile walls of my bathroom in subway tile. They clearly sent someone with no tiling experience. Tiles are uneven, sticking out in dozens of spots. Multiple tiles are chipped. The job was started in the wrong spot and left a small sliver of tile at the ceiling. Grout work was done very poorly and left incomplete. Hundreds of spots without grout filled. Multiple spots with mortar sticking through the grout. Left the job incomplete and offered no remedy to the situation. Owner(Mike) who did the bidding never even came to see where the projects stands before messaging that he was leaving the job. Now I am stuck with a bathroom that needs to be torn down and started over which will include all new materials and a drywaller to redo edges and texture where it will be damaged from tear down. Complete scam. Avoid at all costs.

H.I.S. Home, LLC was hired to repair a balcony for a resident in Shorewood. The client was referred to us by her next door neighbors. We provided the client with a quote to repair the metal railings along the edge of her balcony. The quote, which the client had previously attached in her initial...

complaint, covered repairs totaling $550. Before beginning the job, an agreement was reached with the client that payment would be received after the job was completed and the client was satisfied.
We began the project by first removing the metal railings. Because the Village of Shorewood does not mandate a demolition permit, we were able to begin maintenance on the balcony. After removing a few screws and attempting to lift the floorboards that were attached to the railing, the entire balcony collapsed. Upon inspection of the dilapidated wood supports, it was evident that there was dry rot and carpenter ants eroding the wood supports. We were shocked the entire structure had not collapsed sooner. Even if the railings could have been removed properly, the structure of the balcony still would have required additional maintenance for it to pass any sort of safety regulation.
We then contacted our client to inform her of the situation. We stated that a revised quote would be provided to reflect a more accurate price to rebuild the entire structure. We then presented the client with a revised quote for $750. The additional $200 was added to the quote to compensate the increased cost of materials. It was then that the client decided to discontinue working with H.I.S. Home, LLC for her balcony repairs. No payments were ever received from the client at any point during this job.
