Horrible!
I ordered wig last October. LAST YEAR! Nothing arrived, I spent 500$ for nothing, trying to contact people from this shop for months, no response, no explanation, they are not trying to help. No matter how many times I tried to contact them.

I have worked with the Historical Hairdresser twice now for a wig for perfessional theater productions. Once a wig for Ms Higgins in My Fair Lady, and a second for Lady Thiang in “King and I.” The work is superior. It is highly important that’s during the design phase you be as clear as possible. It is also in your best interest to order the wig with time to spare. I found with both of my experiences that the wig was styled to my needs and was really quite beautiful. In several cases the directors in question commented they should have outfitted the entire cast with their work. I’ve read the other two reviews and I can say that my experience was very different. All communication was prompt and they were very careful to ask questions regarding color and styling. I plan to use them again!

Terrible experience. The woman who operates this business, goes by "Fleur" (does not give a real name... should have been a red flag). I contracted her to create a custom wig for a ventriloquist figure. The wig was in a Victorian style, with hair in a bun.

Initially, she sent me pics of the wig and I noticed the wig cap was over the ears, rather than around the ears, which would force me to glue the wig TO the middle of the ear and cause the hair to sick out on the sides. I told her this would not work. In addition, the bun was far too large. She told me she would resolve the issues and send the wig. She did not send pics prior to shipping, after revisions were made. When I received the wig, not only was the bun still too large, but it was a full inch off center. She also did not correct the issue with the wig cap going over the ear. I immediately emailed her (the only way to contact her) and she asked me to return the wig, which I did.

When she returned the wig, the bun was centered (but still too large) and she did not correct the wig cap issue. In addition, I discovered the bun is not actually part of the wig. She created a bun and pinned it to the wig and simply gathered the shorter wig hair up, pinning it under the bun... The problem with this is hair is constantly coming out from under the bun, so I had to basically lacquer the hair with hairspray.

I emailed her when I received the "corrected" wig, telling her I was unhappy and asked her to return the cast head I sent her, so I could send it to another wig maker. She never returned the head, nor has she responded to my multiple emails, which is odd, because when I initially contacted her, she would immediately respond, always within 5-10 minutes. I believed she was ignoring my messages, so I sent an email, via a different email account, posing as a potential customer. This time, she immediately responded. As soon as I told her who I really was and that I simply wanted my cast head returned to me, she stopped responding.

Clearly this woman is running a very dishonest business. Her work is terrible. I wish I'd have googled her business prior to sending her hundreds of dollars, as I see I am not the only person this has happened to. Hopefully, my review will help someone else.

Chris stated on 11/4/2017 that he wanted to order another wig and his client was happy with the piece created. The concerns were addressed AS well as changes made. many photos were given with measurements with ample communication. We requested numerous times to have him email a return label and no reply by Chris. Chris ignored us for months. 4/12/2018 a Bill Flannery email requested a Santa wig created . We responded To which Chris then stated he created the email. Why after months of Chris ignoring our request to return the dummy head would he do this? Chris wont reply to us. IF chris would just send us the poastage lable via email we would GLADLY return the package with the head we have had Sitting in the outgoing mail area since 2017. So it seems We are awaiting his email with postage lable.

Review: I purchased a wig from this business. It arrived and was not at all like the photo/style of the one I ordered. I immediately contacted the business by email explaining the problem. No one ever responded. Several months went by during which we had serious other issues to deal with. I have never worn this wig. I finally contacted the business again recently. I explained the problems in detail, and got a short email back telling me to return the wig for "restyling". I explained again that the wig could not be restyled to what I ordered because the wrong wig was used and it was far too short. The address they gave me to return the wig to was a po box. I had no way to send the package that way. I have a business acct. With fedex and I sent the wig back to the address I found online for this business. In an email, someone from the business angrily told me that was not the address, and refused to give me a correct address so that fedex could change the recipient address. In every email from this business they have refused to identify who they are or to give me contact info.Desired settlement: at present, the wig is in transit. The recipient, 'the historical hairdresser' has refused:#1 to give me a correct address so that I could contact fedex and have the package re-routed.#2. To contact fedex herself and request delivery at a different address#3. To replace the wig rather than re-styling, (because re-styling is not going to solve the problem.)#4. To work with me to provide basic customer service in an honest and above board manner in order to resolve this issue.

+1

Please email the business directly as we cannot reply to a unknown user with no order information to properly address.

Who is this ? No order number. No details on exactly what this is regarding. When this was done. No way of . proving the validity of this claim as there is only a number not a client name. This is a very odd claim. As The manufacturer actually replaces or restyles orders if problems arise.
