Our experience with Hitec Electric began with the desire to change two light fixtures and snowballed into uncovering the illegal and very dangerous wiring that had been done (and not disclosed) by the previous owner of our historic condo It was an extremely stressful and expensive experience, but we were thankful for Hitech every step of the way They advocated for us with the City Inspector, they referred us to a good construction firm and helped coordinate that aspect of the work AND they did great work themselves They made our home safe Thank you, Hitec

HiTec Electric was awful!
Here are the facts:
I contracted with them to do thousands of dollars worth of work at my home Ryan at HiTec notified me that the work was completed, had passed city inspection and that the permit had been closed out by the inspector I paid HiTec in full immediatelyOver a year later, I was informed by the city that the work had not been completed, that the final inspection had not been requested by HiTec, that the permit was still open and that I was in violation for all of these reasonsOver the next two months I repeatedly called Ryan to complete the work and inspection Each time I was told by Ryan that these matters would be taken care of immediately Each time they never were, leaving me with the task of apologizing over and over to the city for HiTec's failure to complete the work which they had been paid to doFinally, well over a year and several months late, HiTec completed the last step which was the labeling of the electric box and the inspector was able to approve the work and closeout the permitIn summary: HiTec was expensive, negligent in completing their work, and totally unresponsive in correcting their failingsThroughout this entire nightmare Ryan of HiTec was rude, surly and expressed his, "Customer be Damned", attitude"

I was originally referred to Hitec Electric from another electrician that was booked out 2+ months for workSO happy about this, as Ryan and his crew have been so so great to work withMy husband and I have had quite a few contractors over the years, and Hitec was by far the best experience we've ever had with an electricianWe purchased a rambler that needed some (kind of) major workHim and his team were great to talk with on the phone, scheduled me for the time requested, were on time and did their work very quickly, professionally and they cleaned up after themselvesThey grounded all our old outlets that couldn't use three prong, replaced all plugs and faces on them, installed four large light fixtures that I would have died mounting myself, they ran electrical for a new light, and also moved electrical when our AC unit was movedThey were flexible with our drywall and paint guys, the AC guys and a joy to work withHe also highly encouraged us to get the electrical inspected by the City based on our situation, and the inspector from the city had nothing but good things to say about Ryan and his team which was very encouragingI feel great knowing that my family and future home owners of our home won't have to worry about the electrical moving forward
