Hello my name is [redacted] with Hitt & Mis AutoI'm responding ro an issue with a customer complaintThe customer is apparently having issues with their Chrysler Aspen that they purchase from our dealership on 2/11/We did sell the vehicle and included documentation for that to the customer, they were aware they did not have a warranty at time of purchaseWe always sell all of our vehicles to be in good shape to the best of our knowledge, we test drive them and check them over but they are used vehiclesTo the best of our knowledge, the Aspen was a good vehicle with no major issuesIT did have a slight exhaust leak when it was sold and they agreed to a discounted price to take it like it wasIt was Missouri State inspected the day it was sold as wellThe customer did contact us a couple months ago about the current issue and we did refer her to a mechanic shop for diagnosis and repairThe current issue is nothing to my knowledge that was wrong with the vehicle at time of purchase and I did not offer to pay the repair billI don't know if they have taken it to a repair shop or not at this point? It says in the letter that I received for you that said they have "talked with a mechanic and it is more than likely the battery pack"We do not have a written warranty and did not have a verbal warranty agreement with the customer so at this time we are not able to assist in their repair processI do apologize that she feels she has been taken advantage of, that would never be our intentionsI feel that we sold them a good used vehicle at a fair priceThanks and if you have any questions please call the office at [redacted]

The vehicle was in satisfactory condition to the customer at the time of saleAll issues were fixed and approved at that timeNo warranty from Hitt & Mis Auto was directly implied or expressedThe vehicle was discounted in price at the time of sale to accommodate for the tires that we suggested and insisted be put on before saleIn my original response I did not state the specific amount of the discount but will point out that the customer suggested a specific discount price he was unaware of? The vehicle was sold As-isThe customer drove the vehicle and deemed it to be in satisfactory condition and stated would have tires put on it themselves in exchange for a discounted price, which they received. As a courtesy for a long time customer Hitt & Mis Auto purchased an extended warranty through *** *** at our cost. All further mechanical issues will need to be directed towards *** *** to see if it is covered under the extended warrantyHitt & Mis Auto will not be covering or reimbursing this customer for any repairs to this vehicle. We feel that we have went above and beyond in trying to assist the customer in issues that they have been havingWe are deeply saddened that an agreement that they find acceptable could not be reachedIt is always our goal for customers to be completely satisfied. We do feel that some of the things the customer has described to us in regards to the mechanical condition of the vehicle are regular maintenance issuesBecause we sell late model higher mileage vehicles it is not uncommon for them to need regular maintenance required by older model, higher mileage vehicleAll of these things are always addressed with customers at the time of sale

the customer, they were aware they did not have a warranty at time of purchase. We always sell all of our vehicles to be in good shape to the best of our knowledge, we test drive them and check them over but they are used vehicles. To the best of our knowledge, the Aspen was a good vehicle with no major issues. IT did have a slight exhaust leak when it was sold and they agreed to a discounted price to take it like it was. It was Missouri State inspected the day it was sold as well. The customer did contact us a couple months ago about the current issue and we did refer her to a mechanic shop for diagnosis and repair. The current issue is nothing to my knowledge that was wrong with the vehicle at time of purchase and I did not offer to pay the repair bill. I don't know if they have taken it to a repair shop or not at this point? and they said it was the coil. I took it back several times and they said it needed 2 catalytic converters and a mass airflow sensor. I understand he gave me a warranty, but none of that stuff was covered by the warranty. All my wife and I ask for is a little reimbursement for what you have had to pay for these issues. We have had the car less then 2 months. If this doesn't get resolved with the Revdex.com, then my wife wants to pursue legal action.  We were not aware of the $400 discount price, I was never told this.
Sincerely,
