I do empathize with [redacted] and her situation, but this is not an HK Lane Real Estate problem [redacted] is trying to get a refund on her supposed lease in Palm Desert, but we do not have her money When [redacted] called us with her problem, my General Manager and I met her at the property in question [redacted] stayed in the house for a couple of days before notifying us of this matter It certainly was not really clean, but not a disaster as she makes it out to be We then learned that [redacted] , our former Agent, had done this transaction outside of the company He made this deal directly with the homeowner, [redacted] – leaving HK Lane out of the transaction No money or paperwork exchanged hands with my real estate company Upon discovering that [redacted] didn’t handle this properly, I immediately fired him from my company and tried very hard to help [redacted] with Mr [redacted] *** I have tried to help and even communicated with her several times She left the property at her own accord Neither [redacted] or Le Beau will communicate with me regarding her I know she is upset but, her argument, if she has one, is with [redacted] and [redacted] and not with me or my companySincerely, [redacted]

Review: I was involved in a Vacation rental scam in Palm Desert, CA During the 2015 Cochella music festival. I rented a home with heated pool and access to golf, tennis, and country club for the month of April. I found this home listed with HKLane by agent J. [redacted]. l wired 4750.00 dollars to homeowner, [redacted] Le Beau this deal was facilitated by real estate agent [redacted] working at HKLane realtors. When I arrived at the rental I was shocked to find it NOT at all at "vacation rental" standards. I immediately contacted agent [redacted] with a list of listing discrepancies. He said he would "see what he could do" After 24 hours it was clear [redacted] was not doing anything to help me. Next I went to HKLane realty office in Palm desert and spoke to CEO [redacted], I explained my dillimea. I was told he would check into it and told me to go back to the home and wait for him to contact me. The next day after discovering a massive cockroach infestation I vacated, giving keys to broker [redacted] at HKLane office along with photos of roaches, filth and in general disrepair of rental, including no pool heater. I was in the rental a total of 72 hours. At this point NONE of my 4750.00 has been refunded and was told by homeowner [redacted]u I would NOT be getting ANYTHING refunded because I did not stay in the home and therefore broke the contract. This place was uninhabitable, and a dangerously unhealthy environment. Not one of the people will take any responsibility for the part they played in this rental scam, each one has 'passed the buck" on to the other. It has been over two months and homeowner [redacted] is threatening to sue ME for harassing him! I was robbed of 4750.00 dollars, displaced, and lost my vacation time in Palm desert. I can't believe a reputable company whom facilitated this scam is avoiding responsibility of Agent [redacted] fraudulent listing through their company.Desired Settlement: I want 4200.00 refunded. I am willing to forfeit (begrudgingly) 250.00 cleaning deposit even though it was NOT clean and 300.00 for the 2.5 days spent in the rental awaiting an alternative rental that never came through from HKLane realty.
