Review: On Monday June 8th 2015 I made an agreemt to have HMF delivery a container for scrap metal to be sold to them. The oral agreement was for me to recieve $[redacted].** per groos ton for any amount I put into the box. There was never talks of a minimum quantity or surchages, additional fees, etc just simply $**.** less per gross ton. Tuesday June 9th 2015 HMF delivered a container and I filled it with just shy of 200 school lockers as agreed. Wednesday June 10th HMF picked the container up and dropped off another empty container in the morning. I put the remaining 80 lockers in it and called them to pick it up. A different person answered "male" and he said a check would be sent for the full amount of both loads. The first load of 200 lockers I was told by HMF on the phone was over 6,000lbs and was worth a little over $[redacted].**. Saturday June 13th I called because the check hadn't arrived an I was told "sorry we thought you were picking it up." I explained I wasn't able to make it back down just to mail it yet again. Monday June 15th I took a load of scrap into their location and again was told the check was mailed. Thursday June 18th I called yet again about my check and the same lady I had spoken and dealt with said it was mailed. Frustrated I asked her when it was mailed and for how much. After numerous attempts to try and call me back she said the check was mailed Saturday June 13th and the total was $[redacted].**. Doing the math in my head I told her that's for the first load not the total. She went on and on about how she can't find the weigh slip. After holding for a few minutes she said the 2nd load was empty and didn't have anything in it. I told her that's impossible there was 80 lockers in that container. Magically after I said that she quickly replied 'Oh you mean that $** bucks of junk you had!?" I told her scrap is junk and yes that's what I am talking about. She then told me "that junk ain't enough to cover my costs of picking it up!" I told her the agreement was I would get $[redacted].** a gross ton for whatever was in the box and $[redacted].** a gross ton for whatever I drove there. Her last reply was "I don't know what makes you think you're gonna paid for that crap but don't call here ever again!!!!!" then hung up. My first load if their scales are accurate had 200 lockers and was worth $[redacted].** so doing the math the 2nd load which had 80 lockers should have been worth $[redacted].**. I called the local police because this is theft of my materials. Depending whether or not I get paid shortly will determine how I proceed. Contacting a lawyer is not out of the question. I have recieved a check for $[redacted] on June 19th 2015 but no further payments have been recieved. I gave a police report to the sheriff and he said it would be on file if further action is required. PLAIN AND SIMPLE THIS IS THEFT! IF I DID THIS TO THRM I WOULD BE FACING MULTIPLE CHARGES! I CAN ONLY IMAGINE WHO ELSE THEY HAVE DONE THIS TO AND WILL DO THIS TO!Desired Settlement: According to my math and the msth of the 4 witnesses I am owed $[redacted].**. She claims "like** sum bucks" is what they owe me. If I don't have to hire an attorney or be any further inconvenienced I will accept her inaccurate amount of "** sum bucks". Otherwise the other roads will require more compensation for any fees, travel, and loss of wages.
