After meeting with the owner of the business, we believed they were above board and agreed to work with them for a project They gave us an estimate before they knew what materials we wanted to use and then, of course, when they realized the materials were too expensive for their quote, they backed out of the job Only problem was, they never actually told us they were backing out Instead, they continued to email and text us saying they were "almost ready" to begin when what they were actually doing was waiting on our insurance check to be sent to them When the check came directly to us and we didn't pay them (for not doing any work), they threatened a lien, their attorney, small claims court, and finally credit collection agency We had no signed contract and no agreement of any work done which is why our insurance company sent the check directly to us, and not to them, as they'd hoped We refused to pay any money to them After months of threats, they finally sent us to a collection agency which we are in the process of disputing An acquaintance who had work done by this contractor confided in me that they too had tried to get the same amount of money out of her for doing nothing, but unfortunately, when they began with their threats, she paid them the money They continue to harass me and my family by threatening defamation of character law suits when I give them a bad reference locally to people here in town

My husband and I hired HNM to remodel our guest and master bathrooms Both bathrooms were originally to have both the floors and toilets replaced, and possibly some sub-flooring, which was to be determined upon removal of the existing flooringThis job was estimated to take one weekOnce work began, we decided to make some amendments to the remodel, adding a new vanity, retiling the shower surround, and a new tub, where there had been a jetted tub, tile surround and existing vanity I fully expected that these changes would add time to the remodelWork began late almost every day, as HNM continually showed up to the job site hours after their specified arrival timesWhen they were there to work, their work quality was excellentHNM usually only stayed on the work site for about 2-hours a day, unfortunately, which caused this remodel to drag on for about 1/months, yes, monthsHNM would specify a day that they were to show up to work, and then would actually show up a day or so later, sometimes prepared to work, sometimes notHNM made suggestions to the remodel that were quite creative, and we ended up using several of them Unfortunately, HNM also took it upon themselves to remove hooks from walls which weren't part of the remodel, and not reinstall them, stating that they didn't have the correct size anchor, and they thought that "we would take care of that."
The hot and cold water in the vanity of our guest bathroom are reversed now, and must be fixed, which HNM claims they did not do Also, the tub in that same bathroom now takes about hours to drain, and does not hold water very wellOverall, at a glance, the bathrooms look amazing Upon closer inspection, and when actually using them, that's where the lack of quality shows
