Hoagland Homes Reviews (2)

To Whom this may concern, We at Hoagland Homes pride ourselves on providing a quality built home that homeowners can be proud ofWe are not perfect and mistakes just as any home builder would haveProblems do arise in building new construction homes and we confront them head on and try to come to
the best resolution possibleWe continuously try and improve and learn in an ever-changing environmentIn response to the complaint written by *** & *** ***. *** & *** *** (Home Buyers/Home Owners) begged Hoagland Homes to move in early even though Hoagland Homes told them that it was not a good idea and would prefer them to wait until the home is 100% completedThey said that they could not wait and they had to move inThe *** & *** *** were well aware that some items would not be finished and or completed prior to them moving inSome major items that were not completed that could and should have been completed were not finished due to the direction of the homeowners (Cabinets in Lower Level)Most of the items that are not finished but not all are due to the numerous amounts of changes to the scope of work, all of which were directed and changed by *** & *** *** (The Home Owners)Changes were happening throughout the entire build job, continued during the final walk through and the changes even continued after they moved in prior to closingThese changes were not the only issue, as *** & *** *** (The Home Owners) refused to complete selections in a timely manner as directed by contractor prior to construction startingThe builder tried to complete selections prior to construction, as that is standard operating procedureHoagland Homes accompanied the homeowners with the initial selection meetingsgoing on several appointments with little to no success in making the selections necessary to construct the homeInstead *** & *** *** (The Home Owners) wanted to do selections on their own terms, mostly due to the constant changes being made by themselvesThe relentless changing of the home plans and original specifications gave Hoagland Homes no other choice but to have *** & *** *** (The Home Owners) to be in direct contact with the subcontractorsThis was done for reasons- To help speed up the construction and to have less mistakes due to the continual and constant changes being made by *** & *** *** (The Home Owners)Hoagland Homes had to stop construction several times to wait for selections, major construction changes and special ordered materials to arriveSome of these selections items *** & *** *** (The Home Owners) waited to make until the week prior to them moving inThese issues not only affected the schedule on the ***s home, it also affected all of our subcontractor’s schedules, businesses and personal livesNumerous items in the complaint written by the ***s were already repaired, completed and/or scheduled to be completed at the time the homeowner wrote the complaint letterThe home owner not only knew about some of the items being completed they also agreed to the scheduling of the warranty workThe ***s had already approved (completed work) some of the repair items written in their misleading and inaccurate complaintSome of these items were even pointed out to the ***s during our walk through this week on September 19th 2016, with the homeowner having no remorse whatsoeverSeveral other items have been fixed or repaired in the past couple of weeks after the ***s have closed on their homeAt the time that the complaint letter was written the homeowners had not been in the home for days after closingHoagland Homes does ask for a 30-day walkthrough list from homeowners to repairIn a new home even with all of the walk throughs that we do some items are overlooked and we do need to come back and fix, adjust or repairThis would be no different with any and all home buildersWe continue to try and schedule work to be done at the *** residence, only being denied access to do warranty & repair work several times by the homeowners due to conflicts in their scheduleHoagland Homes has never once told the ***’s that repair’s would not be completed and Hoagland Homes are well within a reasonable time frame to complete warranty itemsHoagland homes has every intention on fixing or repairing items that are legitimately wrong with the homeThe ***’s have been very demanding, unruly, rude, inconsiderate and unwilling to cooperate with the builder, real estate agents (including their own realtor who is related to the homeowner) and most of Hoagland Homes subcontractors that they dealt with throughout the entire build jobHoagland Homes had numerous complaints from their subcontractors during construction with some wanting to walk off of the job due to the home buyer’s inconsiderate and rude actionsHoagland Homes would like to resolve all issues in a timely manner and let the home owners enjoy the beautiful custom home that they had us buildAll items that are legitimate on the complaint list will either be completed and or replacement parts ordered and scheduled to be completed (install will be scheduled when items/parts arrive) by the end of this week*** *** even said that he was going to take down the misleading review on Revdex.com, but even that was a complete fabrication of the truthHoagland Homes is a small company and we try to have a great relationship with all of our homeowner’sAfter 20+ years of experience in new construction home building industry we pride ourselves on customer satisfactionEven with the very misleading and untruthful complaint by the ***s we will continue to work with them to resolve any and all legitimate complaints or issues surrounding their homeRespectfully, Hoagland Homes
