As was mentioned in my original complaint, thank goodness for the help of [redacted], CPA.  I attribute the 10 point drop in my husband’s blood pressure to his taking control of the issues regarding the  amendment to the amended 2013 IRS return that George H[redacted] did not previously resolve.  Not only did we not have to pay $3,352.60 (attachment #2), $4,067.73 (attachment #1), or even $8 (attachment #4), but rather we received a check from the IRS (attachment #3) for $13!
I must reject Mr. H[redacted]’ response to our claim based on the following information and documentation:
**Upon our mailing the documents he prepared via certified mail on 4/10/2015, H[redacted] Accounting should still have held some control in the accuracy of the forms for the fee he charged us of $287.53.
**The further correspondence we received from the IRS (in the form of Billing Summaries and Notices of Liens) were hand-carried to H[redacted] Accounting and delivered directly to his administrative assistant.  Follow-up calls regarding the receipt of these persistent nasty grams were documented as well.
**In the third paragraph of Mr. H[redacted]’ response, he blames any possible error on the lack of documentation of withholdings on “ IRS mail rooms {which} sometimes lose attached documents.”  This has no bearing on the fact that Mr. [redacted] pointed out after speaking personally with an IRS rep on our behalf, that our withholdings were never annotated on the 1040x. 
Since we DID provide all the correspondence we received from both the State and the Federal offices of the IRS to Mr. H[redacted] (I even was on hold for an hour on 7/14/15 to finally speak to a Ms. [redacted]), his price for lack of services rendered was indeed unfair.
As mentioned in the original complaint, the 2014 return went off without a hitch, granted it was a bit easier.  However, if Mr. H[redacted] didn't feel capable of helping us with the amended 2013 form 1040x, he should have sent us on our way in good conscience.
