My problems with Hobbytron began about minutes after my purchase I decided to check out the reviews for the company to get an idea of when my package might arrive and I've never seen such awful reviews for a company in my life This made me nervous so I called to canceland calledand called They don't take messages and they don't call you back You just have to call and call until maybe someone picks up I did get through to them eventually and asked to cancel, and they said there would be a 30% restocking fee I told them the package wouldn't have even had time to move yet but they responded with "you should have read the terms and conditions more carefully." I did as they asked and boy did I regret skimming through them the first time I guess I should feel lucky that I didn't agree to give them my soul in the terms, wouldn't have been surprised to see that slipped in there I urge anyone thinking about buying from this company to reconsider, and if you won't, then please read their terms very carefully Next I tried and tried to call to cancel my order anyway and eat the 30% restocking fee (which is double what most places charge) When I did get through, they told me the order had to first be shipped and I had to pay the full amount Only then could I send it back and ask for some of my money back I should mention that every single time I was able to get through to this company, I spoke to a woman, and she was by far and away more rude with me than any other company/organization I've ever spoken to via e-mail, phone or otherwise I consider myself a patient guy, but that conversation was trying even for me Of the maybe times I called the company, I believe I was able to get through times total- she hung up on me each time The duration of our conversations lasted between seconds and maybe seconds Finally, my products came in the mail and I willingly opened them, wanting to be done with the company and deciding I was not going to get my money back with their shady terms that I signed off on (myself to blame for that)Everything arrived that I ordered Some of it worked and some didn't Almost all of it broke after a couple times using it If this review saves even one person from making the same mistake I did in trusting them, it will have been worth the time it took to write it God bless

I bought a remote control air plane for my son for Christmas and when plane arrive the battery was dead on arrivalafter some email back and forth I had to pay $to send the plane back for exchange, second plane arrived after one week and when my son opened it the motor was hanging from fuselage, I had to pay another $to ship the plane back and after another week we got the same plane back except the motor was tightened infinally we could go to park an try the plane, so we charge the battery and we had about minutes flying time before we were back in the house to recharge the battery only to find out that battery does not take any chargeI sent an email to Hobbytron and asked them about the problemwhen they got back to me after days they said the warranty does not cover the battery since I charged it once, I was very disappointed and frustrated so I called them and talked to customer service and then to the manager but to no success, I paid $plus another $for shipping for this plane only because it came with days warranty where I could buy it from Vortex for $so hobbytron sold me a worthless product with worthless warranty, Don't Be sucker like me and don"t buy from HobbytrnHobbytrn has Complaints against it on Consumer affair website , check it out before you make your decision

Worst customer service I have ever had with a company It took me months to resolve an issue and they deliberately hung up on me or avoided my calls This was over a year ago and I just recently looked at their website (because they sent me an email as a result of their website being hacked) and I was shocked that they are even still in business

Hobbytron is pretty terrible You won't be able to speak to a live person, and if you do, they could care less about you Wish I would've seen the reviews on Yelp before I made an orderCalling credit card company now to dispute the charge Buy elsewhere

In December 2015, I ordered a *** *** ** Helicopter with an added warranty as a Christmas gift for my husband; it did not work out of the box or after charging the batteryI requested and received an RMA and was told not to return the product but rather that a replacement would be sent outI received the replacement in mid-January It, too, was defective with the defect appearing to be in a gear that powers two other gears that turn the blades on the helicopterFollowing receipt of the replacement, I live chatted with Tabitha, a CSR at HobbytronShe stated that in order to receive store credit or a replacement product, I would have to return one of the products and pay postage (while I did ask for that cost to be waived, it is very clearly stated on the site that returns must be paid by customer)However, upon returning one of the helicopters and speaking with Tabitha on the phone, my husband has a drone (ordered in place of the helicopter) with which he is delightedUpon request, I was also able to speak with Tabitha's manager, Ian, to let him know of my satisfaction with the final resolution to our issue

using their contact info I am having goog luck in dealing with a drone repair in war and want to compliment rep IAN for his greatly appreciated assistance

My problems with Hobbytron began about 5 minutes after my purchase. I decided to check out the reviews for the company to get an idea of when my package might arrive and I've never seen such awful reviews for a company in my life. This made me nervous so I called to cancel... and called... and called. They don't take messages and they don't call you back. You just have to call and call until maybe someone picks up. I did get through to them eventually and asked to cancel, and they said there would be a 30% restocking fee. I told them the package wouldn't have even had time to move yet but they responded with "you should have read the terms and conditions more carefully." I did as they asked and boy did I regret skimming through them the first time. I guess I should feel lucky that I didn't agree to give them my soul in the terms, wouldn't have been surprised to see that slipped in there. I urge anyone thinking about buying from this company to reconsider, and if you won't, then please read their terms very carefully.

Next I tried and tried to call to cancel my order anyway and eat the 30% restocking fee (which is double what most places charge). When I did get through, they told me the order had to first be shipped and I had to pay the full amount. Only then could I send it back and ask for some of my money back. I should mention that every single time I was able to get through to this company, I spoke to a woman, and she was by far and away more rude with me than any other company/organization I've ever spoken to via e-mail, phone or otherwise. I consider myself a patient guy, but that conversation was trying even for me. Of the maybe 90 times I called the company, I believe I was able to get through 3 times total- she hung up on me each time. The duration of our conversations lasted between 30 seconds and maybe 90 seconds.

Finally, my products came in the mail and I willingly opened them, wanting to be done with the company and deciding I was not going to get my money back with their shady terms that I signed off on (myself to blame for that). Everything arrived that I ordered. Some of it worked and some didn't. Almost all of it broke after a couple times using it. If this review saves even one person from making the same mistake I did in trusting them, it will have been worth the time it took to write it. God bless.

I bought a remote control air plane for my son for Christmas and when plane arrive the battery was dead on arrival. after some email back and forth I had to pay $15 to send the plane back for exchange, second plane arrived after one week and when my son opened it the motor was hanging from fuselage, I had to pay another $15 to ship the plane back and after another week we got the same plane back except the motor was tightened in. finally we could go to park an try the plane, so we charge the battery and we had about 10 minutes flying time before we were back in the house to recharge the battery only to find out that battery does not take any charge. I sent an email to Hobbytron and asked them about the problem. when they got back to me after 5 days they said the warranty does not cover the battery since I charged it once, I was very disappointed and frustrated so I called them and talked to customer service and then to the manager but to no success, I paid $153 plus another $30 for shipping for this plane only because it came with 90 days warranty where I could buy it from Vortex for $95. so hobbytron sold me a worthless product with worthless warranty, Don't Be sucker like me and don"t buy from Hobbytrn.
