I purchased a tournament back in early March for our Hockey team. I paid with my personal credit card ($625). I was promised a refund on March 12. I still haven't received it. When I called, the man, ***, I spoken to several times, was rude and gave me the run around multiple times.

I explained to her we are like a travel agency. We put a lot of front money and book hotels. The hotels pays us from 60-90 days we have not got paid from those hotels. As money comes in we will refund her. We also applied to get the credit help from government. Until the funds come in our hands are tied. I've got all her documentation detailed and noted. I don't run from her and I talk to her. Once the funds come in we will send her out a check.

My husband works for a large hotel management company and no money in his 20-year career has ever been paid from the tournament directly to the hotels, in advance of a tournament. Commissions and rebates are paid from the chosen hotels to the tournaments, after the tournaments happen. If you're waiting on money from hotels from a previous tournament, that is not my issue.
On top of the above misinformation, the man I spoke to was rude and hung up on me, after providing excuse after excuse. This is not how you treat customers. When he clearly didn't/couldn't make things right, he told me to go ahead and contact my credit card company and file a complaint, which I did. In regards to his comment that he explained the situation, he actually did NOT, but gave me the run around saying he didn't know when they were cutting me a check, people were working from home, etc. He took my address down on two different occasions and then called back another time to ask me for it again saying he didn't have it. I understood this as an intentional delay (which is clear from his response my assumption was correct). It is not my responsibility to float their expenses. When the tournament was cancelled, and they sent an email back in March, NO SUCH EXPLANATION was given to teams that they would be delayed in paying back the money--delayed by WEEKS, might I add. I challenge him to provide proof that they told our teams this information. I still do not trust this company, mostly due to the dishonesty. Honesty goes a long way for me, especially when you're a business.
At this time, my credit card company has refunded the money, so I do not need a check, unless this company disputes my $625 charge reversal. If they choose to dispute it, then I will provide my credit card company with the email evidence of the tournament's promise to refund the money and the proof that the tournament was cancelled by them.
Just google them. All one star reviews. They price gauge on hotels- and the hotels they force you to stay in are awful. It’s a stay and play- so you are forced to use their hotels at jacked up rates. Our current hotel is under construction so there is no lobby or place to congregate with three different hockey teams. We are paying $159 per night for a hotel with no amenities (pool, workout room- even no front desk) because this’d our assigned hotel. Very unprofessional organization. Crappy reffing (or lack their of) due to wanting to stay on schedule. The games can be down right dangerous due to lack of officiating.
