Hodge City has refused to perform a contracted conversion. They simply stopped responding to our attempts at contact. My family purchased a home on [redacted] in [redacted] from [redacted] on [redacted] She recently had her heating system converted from oil to natural gas. The conversion was mostly complete- only the gas stove in one room had yet to be converted from propane to natural gas. With the receipt of the purchase and sale agreement we were given a note from Hodge City Mechanical to [redacted] that entailed the terms of the agreement- to complete the conversion for [redacted] They were to contact us (the buyer) to complete the work once the parts were obtained. Initially the company was responsive- they came one day in late August but informed me they had the wrong part and had to reorder a new one. They informed me they would be in contact when the part arrived. This never happened. I do not have a log of all the calls my husband and I have made but they number in the dozens. Only once have our calls been returned- to tell us they were still waiting for the part. In this time, we have called during many times of the day and every time the response is the same- the answering service takes our call, says someone will contact us, and then nothing. My husband contacted our real estate attorney who acknowledged the legitimacy of the contract between Hodge City, [redacted] and the buyers (Us). However, as the amount of the service is [redacted] we would be paying much more in lawyer fees to pursue this through legal action. My husband sent an email to Hodge City, the seller's realtor, and our realtor, but we have yet to receive a response. The stove remains disassembled and unable to be used. It is now [redacted]Desired SettlementI want the conversion to be completed. I don't trust this company but I don't know what else to suggest at this point. It is completely unfair that they aren't even responding to our calls. My husband and I are incensed at their lack of professionalism and disregard for contract agreements and our family's comfort. Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXXContact Email: [redacted]we had to wait for the part , which was back ordered, that was broken during the conversion. I [redacted], explained that to [redacted] husband and told him I would call as soon as we had the part in, he kept calling so I called the supplier and waited about three days for a response, as they were also waiting for a response from the factory. when the part arrived we made an appointment to do the work and honored that appointment and did the conversion . we have not heard from customer since. everything was running perfect when we left and assume that they would call if there was an issue still.
