I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
I did have my car inspected by another shop, it would be a waste of time to have it inspected another time by Hoehn dealership *** *** stood by his mechanic's inspection telling me he 's been around and very experienced, and even though my brake pads and fluids were replaced less than 25,miles ago, the belt did not have any visible cracks or tear, *** *** says he was right If he goes by the manufacture's recommendations to replace the belt after years with no regard to the fact that my car has only *** miles, then what's the point of his inspection a second time? my *** is not going to be younger the second time! The merit of my complaint is this: Either the Multi-point Veh Inspec was erroneous or fraudulent I did not ask for that inspection, I see this as an attempt by a dealer to get a customer to do repairs that were unwarranted and unnecessary, I wonder how many other customers trusted what the dealer reported to them and paid for their recommended repairs without having a second opinion!

my name is [redacted]. I am the service manager at hoehn acura. I spoke to the customer on 11.19.2014. I told him he is more than welcome to come in and we would re inspect his brakes and brake fluid at no charge. his timing belt was due to be replaced at 7 years of ownership or 105k miles...

whichever comes first per the factory recommendation. he elected not to return durning our phone conversation. at this point we do not believe the customer merits anything.

Review: My wife and I visited this company with the intent to discuss pricing for a 2014 Acura TL with Technology Package. We met with Mr [redacted] who was the Sales Associate that met us. We discussed at length the terms and cost for a 36 month least of this car. After leaving to talk with his manager, Mr [redacted] returned and provided us details on the amount of monthly payment and the drive off cost of this lease. Later the next week, I wrote to him to confirm this pricing information. In my e-mail , the subject line was "Your 2014 Acura TL TECH Price Quote" and I prefaced my request for him to confirm his pricing with the phrase "For the 2014 TL TECH 36mon/10k lease". He replied that he had "looked at our file and it was correct. He also advised that he would be away for a few days. On the day of his return, I sent another e-mail stating that I was in the final process of shopping and asked if he wanted to improve the price quote. In his response he advised me that we had been discussing pricing for a 2013 Acura TL TECH and that the 2014 car would be approximately $70 more per month (for 36 months). He later made an offer to reduce the new price by $20 but no more. E-Mail copies are availableDesired Settlement: That Hoehn Acura, Carlsbad honor the written and confirmed price quote that their authorized representative gave us in writing.

Review: on 10/22/14 I took my [redacted] to the Hoehn Dealer for Airbag recall service. Upon completion, I was given a "Multi-point Vehicle Inspection report (Copy Attached). On that list there were two items checked on the yellow column "Requires Attention soon", and two items checked on the red column ", under the hood: Brake and Drive belts. On the next page: the invoice page, in section C circled was BRAKE FLUID DIRTY $[redacted], and T-BELT OVERDUE $[redacted]. It was alarming, because even though my car was ** years old, it had only [redacted] original miles. My maintenance records show that the brake Pads and fluid were replaced by [redacted] in [redacted] at odometer reading [redacted] less than [redacted] miles ago! On 11/19/14, I took my car along with Hoehn Acura Multii-point Inspection list to another shop, [redacted], in [redacted] for a second opinion. I was told that my front and rear brakes are at 40% and do not require replacement, that the Belt does not have any signs of wear and tear no cracks, the brake fluid was not dirty and replacing was not necessary (copy attached). They recommended checking on all again when I bring my car in for oil change after 5-6,000 miles!Desired Settlement: The dealer performs all services checked on the red column as required or overdue in their MPVIC, at no charge.
