Review: Went to Hoehn Honda to have a oil change and complimentary diagnostic on my car. When I arrived, I informed them that my driverside window had been acting up and was "intermittently" working with my finesse and I asked them to find out exactly what I would need to fix it. At that time, I showed the sales associate what I was referring to by rolling my window up and down and then purposely getting the switch to act up for my example, but then immediately getting it back to "normal". I informed them that I believed it was the switch that was faulty but was still working, and asked them to have their mechanic look at it so I could make sure that was all that was wrong and assess the cost and get it fixed on a later date. When I returned to pick up my car, they informed me I'd need a new switch as I had presumed. As I was leaving the parking lot, I attempted to roll down my driver side window switch was completely loose, having no tension to roll the window down, and now, I could not longer roll down my window. Furthermore, the switch was stuck attempting to "roll up" the window, which held the capacity to burn out the window motor. I immediately went back into the office of the sales advisor who assisted me and informed him that now my driver side window CANNOT roll down nor up at all. He informed me that the switch was broken and I would have to get it fixed. I told him, "no the switch was not broken when I brought it in, it still worked with my quirky way of getting it to work." He said to me, "the switch was broken when you brought it in." I told him, "NO! that is not true at all, I rolled the window up and down right in front of you when I came in." At this point, the sales associate then said, "how do I know you didn't take your car off lot, and break the switch, then coming back to blame it on us." At this point, I was so insulted I asked to speak with his manager. I informed the manager of the employee accusing me of "breaking the switch myself" in order to obtain a free repair, and the manager did not have the employee apologize at all for the rude, accusing comment. The manager then listened to the rest of the situation came to the conclusion that I would have to pay for the work to get done. I told him, "you're going to break something of mine, and then blame me for it, and charge me? That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard." After deliberation with the GM, they came to the conclusion that I would have to pay for the cost of the part, and not the cost of labor, which they still made money on the part markup price.

After fixing my switch, I obtained my car and now found out that because of their mechanic sticking my switch permanently on "roll up" from before, now my motor has burned out for my window. They then told me that that was not their fault, and they refuse to fix it without the cost of parts, labor, and so on. At this point, I spoke thoroughly with the GM who treated me as "lower class" in the way he was talking to me. He made me not only feel like an unvalued customer, but I was in fact attempting to "gain" something by being "sketchy". I have never been more insulted, demeaned, and mistreated by a business in my life. He made it seem like they had not done a thing, and I was lucky that I even had the switch fixed for 160.00$, and that them doing me that favor of removing the labor, and now offering to do the motor for over 300$ (which by the way is a huge markup, my hometown shop offered me to do it for 160$) He had treated me as if he knew I was a younger man, who really held no weight in the situation, I was not able to have him be reprimanded for their delinquent actions. I have now been driving 2 summer without a driver side window able to roll down in 110*F Temecula heat. If they pull up my record I can recall all the associates I dealt with. I cannot recall the exact date, but if I am contacted by the Revdex.com I can estimate.Desired Settlement: Hoehn Honda to fix my window motor that they burnt out by having their mechanic, not knowing how to deal with my quirky switch, stick the switch on "roll up" and burn out my motor. Or a rebate of the cash I have spent because of their mistake, and a formal apology for the way I was treated and the insulting demeaning accusations.

Refund & Repair & Apology. or at least 2 of the 3.

Review: On Jan 22, 2015 I serviced my Honda Civic at Hoehn Honda in Carlsbad for an Oil and Transmission fluid change. On March 10th 2015 my Cars engine died on the road and I ended up towing it to Honda Service center. After their diagnostic they told me that the engine was out of oil and it has damaged the engine and the drain plug for the oil pan was missing. They recommended I replace the engine and cylinder head and quoted me for $5925.00 for parts & Labor.

I met with the service manager [redacted] to settle the issue since their honda technician was the last person to touch the drain plug. He told me that there has been 3,354 miles since the service (I commute daily from Irvine CA) and they are not responsible, but offered 20% repair discount . He also admitted that the drain plug should have never come off had it been tightened properly,

I also had communications with the General Manager [redacted] in order to settle this matter. He also had a weak defense to the missing drain plug core issue after agreeing that total milage on the engine should have no bearing on the drain plug missing. He offered to perform an inspection on the engine but I will be denying it since they couldn't even fit a drain plug let alone disassemble an engine. Also I would have to have a neutral chief mechanic to inspect since I have lost all trust with Carlsbad honda.

They claimed to have used new parts and "torqued" the drain plug to honda specifications yet it has gone completely missing (fell off?? ) while I was commuting and caused my engine to be destroyed. The fact of the matter is Honda technician was responsible for re-installing the drain plug properly and happened to be the last one to touch the drain plug on 1/22/15 per service records before it went completely missing on 3/10/2015 according to their service advisor [redacted]Desired Settlement: I need to replace my engine per honda recommendation at a different location. I will need $5925.00 (Engine Repair) plus $250 for my current transportation costs (renting)

so a total of $ 6175 plus an apology for the run around and inconvenience they have put me and my family , work in due to negligence and carelessness on their part

Review: I brought my 2006 Honda Civic to Hoehn Honda under a recall paint notice I received for the hood and front fenders to be painted. I was advised by the service person, [redacted] (who was very professional and kind) to drop my car off before I left on vacation during night-drop so that the paint job could occur while I was out of town. I asked him if I needed to sign anything or do anything else before leaving my vehicle. I was told no. When I returned from vacation and received my car back the front bummer had damage that was not on the vehicle prior to service. When I pointed it out to the service department I was told that the damage was on the walk around sheet so therefore they were not responsible for it. I did not see or sign the walk around sheet prior to the work nor do I know when it was completed. Additionally, the dings on my car that were there before they did the work were not reflected on the walk around sheet from what I could tell. Instead, the sheet that was shown to me reflected that the front bumper skirt and main body of my car completely scribbled out to indicate damage. Where as the damage that was on my car prior to service was left blank. The service order also reflected inaccurate milage of my vehicle. This brings to question the accuracy of Hoehn Honda's documentation procedures. The damage on my front bumper skirt that was not there before service includes a puncture spot/crack on the driver side where the medal support is coming through the bumper skirt and a series of scrapes and paint removal. There were other scratches on my car, but those were not there. When I pointed it out at the time of pick up and was dismissed, I called the general manager of Hoehn who said he'd look into it. A week went by with no follow up. I called again and he apologized and said he'd investigate the issue. I received a call from the service manager with the same response that I got the same day I picked up the car--that it wasn't their responsibility because it was documented.Desired Settlement: The service manager said that they would give me "their price" to get the repairs done on the bumper skirt. However, I would like them to pay for the damage, as it was not there prior to the service performed on my car. Having me pay their price is not adequate customer service.

Review: I took my 2001 Honda Civic in for its 100,000 mile maintenance 31 Dec 2014. Water pump and timing belt were changed as well as motor mounts. 2 days after I picked it up from the dealership the bottom radiator hose came off. I called the dealership the next day and had it towed in. They reattached the radiator hose and filled the coolant reservoir all the way to the top. They reassured me that any damages would be covered fully and that I would be reimbursed for my towing expenses. None of which happened. NOTE I did have bodywork done to the car, I picked the car up from the bodyshop July 24 2014 and have driven it without problems until now, all the problems started after my visit to the Honda Dealer). I took it in yesterday and was turned away because I did not have an appt. My check engine light was on and it was running poorly. I drove it to B&D auto repair where they diagnosed it as a blown head gasket caused by overheating. I had it towed to honda where they said they would make it right. Today I received a call and they said it is not their fault that the hose came off, they are charging me for the repair and going back on their word that they would repair damages caused by this incident. I want them to keep their promise and do whats right.Desired Settlement: I want the dealership to keep their word. They implicitly stated they would cover me for damages to the engine. This is definitely damage which they are at the least charging me $1300 to repair. I have talked to the auto body shop and also to B&D and they both said this was most likely due to the repairs done at the 100,000 mile service. The hose just does not come off by itself after 5 months. Something happened during the service of the car for this to occur.

Review: I brought my car in for repair to the Hoehn Honda location in Carlsbad. When I brought it in, the car was in flawless condition, as I had bought it just a couple months prior. The repair was done in a timely manner, and the repair liaison that I spoke with seemed to be really helpful and nice. However, when I brought the car back home I noticed there was a very large scratch on my drivers side door. I am 100% positive that this scratch was not there prior to the service, because as the tow driver hooked up my car he commented on how pristine the car looked even though it was 3 years old. I called the service department and left a message with the person in charge of my repairs earlier. Apparently, my message fell on deaf ears as I never received a reply back. They must have assumed that if they ignored my complaint that the scratch would magically disappear, or that I would just forget about it. There has been some time since the event, but I was unaware that I could file a complaint through the Revdex.com. I don't expect them to reply to my complaint, they didn't the first time, but I want people to be aware of their business practices.Desired Settlement: I would like them to repair the scratch and to better respond to their customers concerns.
