I have spoken to the customer ad he will show me the damage to his floor mats and carpets. I will do all I can to understand the cause of the damage and resolve this matter with our customer.

Hoehn Mercedes Benz in Carlsbad California is the worst Mercedes Benz dealership I have ever been to. Do not buy a Mercedes Benz from Hoehn Mercedes, I would highly suggest you go elsewhere and not buy from, as they are liars and a dishonest dealership. This is my 2nd time buying a car from Hoehn first time buying a Hoehn Mercedes and first time buying a brand new car. This is supposed to be exciting and an amazing experience and it was the worst experience I have ever had in my life and I am still fighting the dealership. They sold me a defective car. READ BELOW!

It all started with the sales person Lori who walked out on the deal after 5 hours of negotiating for the Polar White 2016 Mercedes Benz GLE 400 over 30.00 on my payments she said she was only making 300.00 on the deal and couldn't deal with this anymore and up and walked out and left me on the showroom floor. I did not know what to do, as I had not ever experienced this before. I went into the sales manager's office [redacted] and was being assisted by a salesman by the name of [redacted] and asked the sales manager if he could get the deal done. He got my payments to 600.00 a month and we discussed the things I wanted added to the car.

There was physical damage on the car in the showroom that was pointed out to them and they said they would fix it. They pushed me to drive off the lot with the car because that's all part of the car buying experience is the satisfaction of driving a new car. I could drop the car off the following Monday for my additions, I let them know I was in no rush and was going to Maui for 4 -5 months in February. They told me it would only take a few days.

Here is my list:

Rear entertainment package

Chrome Hood Fins

Illuminated Benz Star on the front

Black rims on the car

Side running boards

Teflon coating on interior and exterior (I do not believe was done)

Dropped the car off Monday and got a C Class loaner which was nothing like the $82,000.00 vehicle I just purchased but no big deal. Got a call a week later they could not do the wheels, so I changed them to the factory wheels Mercedes offers on their website, I then got a call they could not do the side running boards they did not have stock, I then got a 3rd call and was told they could not do the rear entertainment package as the interface did not work in the 2016 GLE. I was furious and spoke with both [redacted] sales manager and [redacted] the sales manager who were apologizing said they should have custom built me my car they will make it happen and just were very sorry. I told them I did not want the vehicle and they insisted they would fix it and make it right. After 2 weeks of driving the loaner they finally were making some progress and I was still very angry that they just did not custom build me my SUV from the start.

They sent the car out to a 3rd party local audio video installation company that was not the certified Mercedes Benz rear entertainment package I wanted, they got the rims from another Benz and changed me 1800.00 to powder coat the factory wheels on the Benz they pulled the tires off of, when I asked they keep Pirelli tires on the new rims I was given an attitude like it was an inconvenience to them this whole time. I am mostly dealing with [redacted] the Sales manager for Hoehn Mercedes Benz. They finally got it all done somewhere before or after Christmas time I would like to say after Christmas. When I picked up the vehicle there was a funky smell inside the vehicle and did not smell new maybe it was the Teflon stuff, the rims wheels were not polished & there were nicks that had not been waxed or buffed so they took it back to finish it up.

Immediately after getting home I noticed the memory seats were broken so they gave me back the car with broken or defective memory seat control. I called them they said come by and I waited for 2 hours for them to tell me they have to order the part and bring it back. I drove the car for a few days and had a Las Vegas trip planned on the 5th of January and was going to be driving my New Car to Vegas (EXCITING) it was pouring out that day and on the way to Vegas my passenger said what they hell there is water dripping on me so I looked over and there was water inside the car running down the passenger side front from corner windshield to dash & dripping, water had breached the interior cabin on the passenger side headliner on the panel where the seat belt is, passenger rear window behind the passenger side door and the rear windows were all fogged up and my driver side was leaking so that was 4 breaches of water, I immediately called Mercedes screaming as I was furious that this 82,000.00 Suv was leaking water and called a few times. They apologized and said they were sorry and bring it in when I get back from Vegas they would put me in a similar vehicle loaner and suggested a buy back from Mercedes Benz USA. Since the interior was compromised and had visible water damage which leads to mold, mildew, odor I did not want the vehicle anymore. I was going to Maui and they could keep the car. The fact they admitted to the defect and admitted to the mistakes in the buying process and the manager of the dealership [redacted] who was no help but did sit with me and apologize and Service manager Dave Cram who just wants the loaner back and is a useless person this whole experience and how its being handled is disgusting.

I got home from Las Vegas and dropped the vehicle off few days past and they called and said that there was a manufacture defect in the car and Mercedes did not have any fix at this time and would I like to come pick up my car? I said why would I pick up that car when there is a manufacturer defect and visible water damage? Mercedes Benz denied the buyback I refuse to pick up that Vehicle. All they care about is getting the loaner car back. I am in contact with the Attorney general and my Attorney to see what legal actions if any can be done. BUYER BEWARE!l

They are currently trying to Pay me to go away now so the story gets better , this time I will not remove my reviews after I left my yelp review Kristopher Truman told me to remove it an they will buy me a new car. They had me come in and do a substitution of collateral and brought a car down from LA and the banks approved the substitution of collateral, [redacted] told me they would take care of everything and then called me and told me come get my defective car or a check, they would have to replace the headliner due to the water damage if they kept the car and would not offer to replace the headliner for me.

To go a step further these people are Hoehn do not know anything about the cars they sell, they had to look in the manual to see if the car they told me has ambient lighting which didn’t, they did not know how you use the radio/phone/ text functions they told me to read the manual.

We agreed to was a substitution of collateral which is on record with my bank you got the vehicle from LA with Kristoper Trumans authorization and you were going to swap out my 2016 GLE 400 with the new GLE 400 that had water damage and was confirmed by the service manager [redacted] this was all done through you [redacted] so whatever way you want to try and twist and contort this go ahead I don't need the car and won't pick up either the car nor the check and will continue on my merry way no big deal so either make it right with the GLE with the interior lighting package or dig deeper. Let me know either way I'm not stepping foot on that lot till correct the problem.

I pulled the Yelp review as [redacted] asked me to and he said he would put me in a new vehicle

[redacted] told me that just because the factory didn't buy back the Benz didn't mean hoehn would not as he has been there 35 years working for the hoehn family and you or they can still do the buy back or as you said substitution of collateral and put me in a new car

Let me know when the new car is finished or you make me a better offer

I want my car that I worked hard to buy so make it right and do what you had told me.

This is extremely stressful on my and has been giving me a ton of anxiety

I've lost time, money , and will never forget how hoehn Mercedes ruined 3 months of my life from beginning of sale to still going

We have been in contact with our customer regarding his concerns. We apologize that he has had such a bad experience. Here is a brief recap...Memory seat inoperative - this was repaired by replacing the seat switch and was covered under warranty.Water leak inside car - We were unable to duplicate this concern even though we tried for days to reproduce a water leak. This included flooding the roof area of the car with water and taking the car through a local carwash multiple times. We turned to MBUSA Technical Field Services who confirmed that there were no quality issues with this style glass roof design at this time. Later conversation with the customer reveled that the rear sunroof was slightly open during the rain storm to provide ventilation. We believe that this was the cause of the water ingress.Buy Back request - After reviewing the customer's concerns and our repair information, MBUSA has denied the customer's request to have his car bought back. In an effort to resolve this matter we (Hoehn Mercedes-Benz) have offered to take the car back from the customer and refund his money. The customer is considering his decision.

Review: On Oct 11 , 2013 my car was taken to this company by a toll truck because my keys were unlawfully taken from me. I explained to everyone there that I was homeless and I live in my car, I 'am physically disable and the circumstances involving my keys. I told the dealershipto rekey the locks and remote . I did not want the old keys or remote to work . I left with a feeling of safety . On Dec 24 , 2013 I regained my old keys from the party who had them unlawfully . To my dismay the remote started car and it also operated the locks to doors and truck. This is not what I paid for they put my safety and my car safety in danger. I filed a complaint with consumer complaint agency they didn't respond and told me that they didn't get it. They are the only ones who can do this job and they can't do it right.Desired Settlement: For stress, emotion , pain , defrauding me and placing me and car in danger I asked for a new car to be donated to my non-profit org

I met with Mr. [redacted] on March 11, 2014 and he explained his concerns to me. Also in that meeting was our Parts Manager, [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] walked us through his concerns and I understand. I had a little trouble following his story, but I beleive that I understand now. Mr. [redacted] told us that he lives in his car, and that he suffers from schizophrenia. He told us about his fear that he is being unjustly targeted by the Police. At the root of his concern is that he said the Police had taken his keys and he was afraid that they would come and tamper with him or his car while he was asleep. He said that he was afraid they would plant something illegal in his car and then return to arrest him.

This is why it was important to him to have his original remote key de-activated by us when he had his car serviced. I pulled the repair order, see attached, and didn't find any request by Mr. [redacted] to have the missing key de-activated. He said that he believed that the remote key was de-activated, and it wasn't until he received his keys back from the Police that he discovered it still worked. He told us that nothing did happen to him or his car while the Police had his keys, and now that he does have his keys nothing will happen. He told us that even though nothing did happen, he is now worring about what could have happened.

At the end of our meeting I asked him what I might be able to offer him to resolve the matter. I offered a full tank of gas, or a partial refund, or a credit towards future repairs, but he said that wasn't enough. It was my Parts Manager that was able to get Mr. [redacted] to tell us what he wanted. Mr. [redacted] asked that we donate a new Mercedes-Benz to his charity. I explained that that wasn't possible for me to give him. As he was leaving he said that he wasn't at all satisfied.

I generally am able to work with my customers to resolve problems and concerns, but I was unable to satisfy Mr. [redacted].

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Number 1 I made two separate orders 1 blade Key without remote and the second order a new blade key with remote . This how the dealership stated in order for everything to be reprogramed . Because I didn't need to order the blade key and the remote I need only to order blade key the second order was for the change of the locks and the reprograming of the remote . Which place myself and my car in danger and they understood all of this because my insurance company was requesting information concerning this matter. They was told everything was done for my safety , my car safety the changing of the locks and the reprograming of the remote . Now I don't know about other people but anytime my keys to anything is lost or stolen I take measures to make sure that what every those keys go to is protected now that my illness that life. The dealership took no concerns about my car and my safety they did not care they only wanted my money and my me feel less than human because I 'am black , disable , low income . I paid 1,511.00 for this service to be done and they are the only ones who can do this . If it was left out of the service order that not my problem because parts department Knew , the service represent knew we spent 30-45 mins going over the details so they all understood my concerns. I was more concern about their property than they were about mine when I noticed two people on the lot before it opened having remotes aiming at different cars on the lot . I called left a message , I told others who worked there . They only care about getting money and not doing their job hoping you don't discover it . This event has cause me great stress I am still a mercedez-benz customer and the solution they proposed is equal to pain and stressed they caused me.
