On Monday July 30, we recieved a contract from [redacted] for the repair of a small chimney on our house. We gave him a check for $900 as a first payment on a $2500 estimate. However this contract indicated that under PA law, it was subject to a 3 day cancellation option. However, on Wednesday August first at 10:06 am, I informed Mr. [redacted] in person by phone that I was cancelling the contract. Also on the same day he was mailed a special delivery letter also cancelling the contract. This letter was delivered on the next day, Aug 2, at 10:35 am.Now some six weeks later, in spite of repeated requests, [redacted] still has not returned our original $ 900.
