from a customer in regards to a moving job.I received a phone call from *** *** ***, In which he ask me for an estimate to move a by storage unit from Forestville Maryland to Port Republic Maryland .Within this statement he stated he had a storage unit only full of boxes, no furniture and the only other items were a small desk and a small freezerNothing elseAnd that it would take an hour to load an hour to unload and a man crew could handle this with a foot truckI asked the customer to confirm that there were no other furniture items He reiterated a small desk and a freezer that was the only furniture I gave the customer a "of $480.The customer complain that that was too high and could only afford but would need a receipt to get reimbursed from his company.I told him I could not do for that much, that $was the best I could doVery persistent tried to meet me in the middle at $and again I asked, About any additional furniture and additional questions about how many levels his home had for the additional work he stated that he would help load the truck and unload the truckI told the customer that there was a $deposit non refundable for travel expense Also told him that this was sight unseen and that's why I asked the questions in regards to what was in the storage to be exact inventory When I arrived at the store unit, it was 10' longer than what he stated so it was a by not a by the 1st 10' was full of miscellaneous household items not boxed shelving, book cases and other small furniture, and toys, lamps an suchitems In which it would take a 16' truck for that item space, Behind all that then there was another 20' by 10' space full of boxes from floor to ceiling In which would require a 26' truckI spoke with the customer in regards to him stating that there was only boxes To be moved his reply was that all that miscellaneous was quick and easy. my reply was that was not part of the Original "given. "that we need to re negotiateI mention to him that the standard rate for this type of move was more like in the $range .He got very defensive and told me that's not what we agreed to I told him that I can do it for my original "of $The customer couldn't come to terms with that and asked me if I was refunding him his $I told the customer He agreed that, that was a non refundable travel expense When he paid it up front Customer stated he wanted a receipt for this move to be reimbursed but couldn't come to terms on the price after falsifying the information from start to finish so it was in my best interests to walk away from this job.And not even minutes after I left the job, they were leaving bad reviews on *** and *** making falsified statements about me stealing money.Kind regards, Harold H*** Hoffman Transport and Moving Services LLC
