Hog Busters

A verbal agreement was made between myself and the owner. I would purchase his trap and operate it for $2400, then an additional $100 for a cellular sim card plan (I do not have control of the sim card, he can turn off my access at any point) totaling $2500. He would in turn provide the additional service of picking up trapped hogs and pay me for any pigs over 60lbs, as that is the minimal weight in the local market. He would pay a lower price than other buyers for the conveince of picking them up.
Upon the first load of pigs being removed, I was then informed that he was only paying for pigs over 100lbs. When I questioned this is was met with a demeaning tone and told "no-one buys pigs under 100lbs," and "it's simple math." I again questioned this relying on the math I did before entering our initial agreement and even at the low rate of $3 for half of the price of the minimun payout on a 60lb pig, the price per pig is low, but will add up.
The trap had technical issues, which I had to work with the manufacture of the parts with to fix myself. I was also told I was not "working the trap."
There was also a miscommunication about a solar panel the owner said he would originally supply included with the trap, that turned into I either need to order myself of he will supply it and take the price out of the initial load of pigs. (9 pigs in total, was offered $40 for one and he keeps the rest for free).
I requested a refund. I offered to pay his labor in the amount of $400 and I would pay him $200 to leave the feeder since it is full of roughly 200lbs of corn and would be a hassle to move, and I would have the trap ready for him to pick up. Leaving me a refund of $1900.
I was met with more belitting comments and told I was "throwing away a friendship over a few bucks."
This is not someone I knew before I contacted him about his service and is not over "a few bucks," there was a miscommunication of terms and I offered a reasonable solution.
