Review: My radiator went on my Acura 97 RL and I asked for it to be replaced. Hogan and Sons did explain to me there could be other issues and I asked them if it was repairable. They came back and said yes it was repairable therefore I authorized the repair which came to $1, 336.39. When I picked the car up and drive away the car acted funny, I live less than 8 miles from this location. The following morning, I went to work (less than 4 miles)after work went to the store, the car wouldn't start. I called Hogan and Sons and they towed the car to the shop. After several days Hogan and Sons said I need additional work on sensor, timing belt was loose. My car was fine I had my timing belt replaced at 90k miles and the car is 160k. They told me the car requires several thousand in addition work which may not be worth it. Since I drove off; I'm responsible for playing the charges for a non working car. It forced me to rent a car to get around and put my life in a "tail spin". Hogan and Sons wouldn't return calls until I called the Corporate Office and filed a complaint; after they complaint they took my calls. I feel that they fixed my car enough for me to drive off and to collect the money knowing the car would be inoperable! When the tech was working on the radiator they should have told me if there was any additional damage; instead they fix it for it to break down so they could collect my money which is WRONG!Desired Settlement: I want a refund for the total amount. I told Hogan and Sons that wanted half of the money back that I would pay for labor and they refused, now I want the Total amount back and they only fixed my car for me to drive less than 15 miles and to get towed, I WANT A TOTAL REFUND! They know that they were doing and they wronged me!

I have had two issues with this business within the past year. Today, I took one of my vehicles to another provider for state inspection which it failed due to an exhaust system leak. No issue with Hogan's on that. However in the course of the inspection, the technician found a water pump leak. Hogan's replaced the pump a year ago.
In the spring, I had my other vehicle to Hogan's for routine maintenance. They (claimed that) they discovered a number of problems and gave me a quote of close to $2K for the work. Hoping to save money, I got a quote from another repair shop that was significantly cheaper and took the vehicle to have the work done there. Shortly after dropping it off, I got a call from the manager asking why I wanted the valve cover gasket and radiator hoses replaced as they could find no evidence of the leaks that Hogan's claimed to have discovered
I experienced an issue with my oil pressure monitor. I was charged $110 for a diagnosis. They said that they couldn't find out what was wrong with the oil pressure, but the water pump was leaking and that the engine was overheating and it would cost $1700 to fix. The guy on the phone actually said, "I don't mean to be insulting, but do you know the difference between the oil pressure & temp gauge?" I did NOT do the service. When I picked up my vehicle, I showed him the pictures that showed the issue with the oil pressure gauge and that the temp gauge didn't move.
I went to another Goodyear shop and they replaced the oil pressure sensor and a couple of minor things for $480. Hogan didn't even find the REAL problem.
I've spent a lot of money at the shop, getting repairs that I now question if they REALLLY needed to be done. I told them to their face that I don't trust them! I'm very upset with Hogan & Sons and want my money back!
